At this point is anyone not convinced it’s the BIL? The only lingering question to me is how much Annie actually knew or was involved.
I’m not convinced of anyone unless there’s evidence

I mean, it all depends on if this person couldn't possibly have known those things. Like my opinion completely changes if this person knew something they couldn't possibly know.
In this NewsNation interview with Levin (of TMZ) speaking with Chris Cuomo, Levin says the ransom note provided the location of NG’s Apple Watch and “it was not in a place you would necessarily immediately think.” He says that that seemed to pique the interest of the FBI.

Levin says that the note also mentioned that the floodlights over the rear of the property were destroyed – not just damaged but destroyed. That matches what we’ve seen in videos. (On the other hand: news reporters have said that before a security guard was placed in front of the home, people were walking into the area. And if there was early drone footage, that may have covered the back yard.)

Whether the watch was really in the exact location given in the note hasn’t been made public, as far as I know. And it’s possible, I think, that the information may have leaked.

If NG is alive or was alive after the abduction, it would have been possible for the people holding her to provide information that only she and family would have known. We haven’t had any evidence of that, as far as I can tell.

I disagree. The ultimate power is LIFE. The mom is not a trinket in a flea market to be bartered over. The family asked for proof of life..crickets. Mom is still missing. Who has the power? Even if the money was proffered, she might never be released. Power is with the kidnappers. They will be no poorer at the end of this. The family will have the loss. It's the ultimate gamble...
It is a gamble and also might trigger other nefarious people to kidnap for money. It's so rare in our country but perhaps others will attempt it. The family not only has the burden of deciding what to do for themselves but for the nation, really.

HORRIBLE SITUATION and I have shared heartbreak for them.

You are talking more about the point of view of the family? I am talking about the point of view of the kidnapper. They see the victim as something for sale.

The kidnapper can certainly be poorer at the end of this. He gets zero money and spends the rest of his life in prison.

It is a complex power struggle.

Transferred in a very obvious aspiration/spray pattern?? That would be pretty difficult to do imo
Pipette?
The uber is verified. Car damage could have happened anytime. Likely unrelated, but who knows. Possible blood was staged. TC is biology teacher. Pipettes.

Have we seen dogs?
I believe that if they thought there was signs of a deceased body they would have dogs out sniffing, right? Or dogs in that garage where pictures were being taken to sniff out decay? Sorry for being morbid.

Ok. Explain why the FBI was at Annie’s house last night taking pictures and seizing evidence?
Because that was the last place NG spent a significant amount of time the evening before she went missing?

People using their own 80-90 year old parents as exact proxys for NG is the new dog barking theory, please make it stop!
Sorry to offend you. My response was in response to a post about Nancy being out too late for her age and past her bedtime. Geeze.

Okay I am about 60 pages behind now. Is there anything major I need to know to get caught up without reading everything at once? Or like a new timeline of information? Thanks!

I agree with you but I'm slightly perturbed that you made this post in response to someone pointing out that all older people are different and that some older people are mobile and independent, when the majority of comments using their own experience as proxies are coming from the "anyone who leaves an older person alone is dodgy" crowd, who are not only infantalising a woman on no grounds at all, but badmouthing the non-suspect relatives of a missing and potentially murdered woman who are no doubt going through hell.

There's absolutely nothing weird or odd about only taking three minutes to say goodbye and walk someone into their house at night, rather than coming inside with them and spending time "getting them settled" whatever that means. People only think it's weird because they're looking at it in the context of an elderly kidnapped woman. In real life it's a completely normal thing no one would even blink twice at. Most people are tired after hours of socialising outside of their own home and just want to be alone in their own space, older people get more easily tired. I don't know a single elderly person who would want someone coming inside their house to spend ages fussing over them at the end of a long, tiring day, rather than simply doing a completely normal standard goodbye.

Bottom line, they know their mother, and we do not. They know if she's the kind of person who wants people to come inside her house and spend time getting her settled when they drop her off at night, or the kind of person who is happy to do a normal regular goodbye.

Why are you convinced it is?

I don't buy the money theories re SIL - it seems from videos online etc, that AG and SG have a good relationship. Surely if there was a need for money, they could ask SG rather than NG?? Doesn't make sense to me. Ok, teaching salaries may not be high end but far from poverty line.

IMO, you can't tell how someone's relationship is based on a photo and/or a video online. Just ask me and my sister.

Also, asking siblings or any family for money can lead to all sorts of issues. Money can quickly divide people. (*of course, not all people.) Just because someone may have a lot of money doesn't mean they feel like they need to share it especially when they have a spouse and their own family. I've seen and experienced first hand how money can destroy relationships.

This may have nothing to do with money, but I'll be extremely surprised if it doesn't in some way.

Moo.

Where was this read?
Sorry, it was on another thread, I saw someone say that taking flash photos at night most likely points towards luminol testing.

I just saw the latest family video statement. It has a different tone and SG sounds resigned. Does anyone else think this statement is odd "We received your message and we understand. We beg you now to return our mother to us so we can celebrate with her. This is the only way we will have peace...We will pay..." IMO This means a celebration of life and they are willing to pay for the return of her body to find peace. I hope I am wrong.

Just a warning that AI isn’t entirely accurate. It was giving me funky results on the Guthrie case, so I had to go do the research myself.

True story: I was asking ChatGPT about the date of death for Rob and Michelle Reiner - on January 9th - and it told me that they were very much alive! I have screenshots. Despite the deluge of news stories about their untimely murders, AI was telling me they were alive.

I just wanted to add another angle since I am still on the fence about the SIL.

It is possible LE / FBI are running with the ransom / kidnapping and Instagram videos to apply pressure to someone close to NG. They can have suspects but without evidence, a charge will be weak. There is a very famous case in my country where it is widely known LE and the local community know exactly who killed a woman who has been missing for nearly 16 years. However, the perpetrator is part of a close knit group of friends who simply will not speak. LE know they were involved, but they do not have enough evidence until one of the group speaks (e.g. due to passage of time or alliances changing).
