My husband said "oh, and there's the car...", and at one point the person looks back that way so, possibly, being told to hurry by a driver? Is this a vehicle in the drive behind him?

how so? gun holster is oriented for a right hand draw.Person appears to be left handed.
Gait shows his left foot turns outward more so than right. Someone is going to recognize this person’s gait and/or clothing.
Thank you for this excellent additional informations. Apparently this position is called the 'appendix carry'. FYI. Can Google for more info.As a gun guy who used one for years on the job, it's weird in a number of ways.
-The holster doesn't seem to match the sidearm, the gun looks more like a poly late gen semi auto and it's stuffed in a holster that profiles for a longer gun with a shape of a revolver like a Colt python for instance. Too hard to truly tell w/ the pic/ darkness, but it looks off.
-Also a light-colored holster, usually a burglar would go all black (same w/ reflective stripes on a backpack??? It's a weird detail but again a bit wonky or "thrown-together" in his get up, much easier to get darker leather or kydex etc.
-in the earlier frames he is not open carrying. he pulls the holster out front and center over his crotch (right hand orientation) as he approaches the door - indicating he wants it to be seen then. His hand does seem to hover in ready position then, though it could be a threat posture or like you said involuntary.
Are those eyebrows or shadows?
I don’t have X so I can’t see your pics. But i saw one earlier that looks like he covered the firearm with his jacket. In the pic on the right he doesn't have it, but pic closer to the door he does. Do you know why, where is it in the rt pic?
Kudos to the people who pointed out the crushed flowers... turns out it was absolutely connected! This is def not a professional. The video with the flowers is so amateurish that it’s almost laughable. A professional would have brought tape, not hunted around for flowers on site.
The bending over may be awkward because of the backpack, especially if it’s heavy.
They do, but I assumed he used makeup as a disguise. He knew his eyes would be visible.Yes, I feel like the eyes look very feminine too.
They said Ring and then corrected it to Nest on NBCI’m very late to this story but can I ask why it’s taken so long to get ring doorbell footage??!! Thanks
Definitely looks like it could be and the FBI or PD have blocked it out!Is this a vehicle in the drive behind him?

gait would likely be affected by the bulky backpack imoLots of new video on TV of the subject just coming onto the porch,
They can analyze his GAIT !! Huge identifier.
I agree why has it taken so long to get this ring doorbell footage? Or do they suspect someone and hoping they would come forward first before putting this out there. Who knows?!No way it should take this long to get this from the front door cam. #$%! Is this the fault of the door cam company?
Especially a camera that sends notifications for movement! Sure NG was likely asleep but a phone buzzing that many times could have woken her upRight? Just remove the camera 1st thing! Instead he goes over and picks freaking flowers to cover up the lens? Is this suspect trying to lead LE to thinking they are amateur?
This guy is likely hired by someone who is retaliating against her or family member-possibly a contractor feels cheated. No ransom but a homicide. Time he spent in home shows comfort with surroundings.Omg the comments are moving so quickly
My thoughts in a nutshell: man's body (and statistically extremely low it's a woman - not going to get on my soap box about this but MOST violent crimes are done by men), oddly large eyes for a man - face seems like it could be easily recognizable to someone who knows him. He could have taken concealing measures such as changing facial hair grooming, dying, etc.
Clothing is largely unremarkable. Stated he has a gun in his waistband? I didn't see that confirmed.
From the info on the post it says it's from "the morning of her disappearance" - meaning 2am, or like the morning of the dinner? I'm assuming 2am the day she disappeared but may be worth clarifying.
LE didn't have these images until today it sounds like; I wonder if they had any other info that would lead to this "sort of" person being involved, or if this is a totally new direction.
Given the gun, the knowledge of the camera locations, etc. I'm leaning toward pre-planned, definitely, possibly hired by someone else. Motive still unclear.
Photos are creepy AF. Poor Nancy. I hope they find this guy...
It's very odd. Was he trying to cover himself using the plant as he rang her doorbell? But once she got to her door, surely she wouldn't have opened that screen door. Well, safety door. Unless he pulled the gun on her, but still, something seems too weird about this.If I was gonna rob someone’s house that had a secure metal gate and additional door in the front of the house along with lighting , I’m gonna choose a side or back door 1st. This is odd to me
