Me wondering about the flowers -

If he/she was trying to use the flowers to provide additional concealment of their face, did they not know or anticipate that NG had a doorbell camera? If they knew prior to arrival that there was a camera, why didn’t they bring something with them to either further conceal their face or cover/spray the camera so it wouldn’t capture images?

Where were the flowers prior to being used here? Were they in a wreath on the door, in a pot/container by the door or did they have to pick/cut them from the yard? (IIRC someone previously said they were in a garden lining the walkway?) If they weren’t already by the door and they had to pick/cut them before they approached the door, it would seem like they took a chance assuming there weren’t other cameras that would have caught them doing this and alerted NG to their presence. Either way, it seems to point to poor planning, although the outfit and other elements of the crime do seem well planned.

I remember those from when I was younger (very creepy seeing mom take them off), and it is quite possible that this is all part of a disguise. There are layers of clothing there, and how better to look "innocent" after you've committed a crime while wearing one outfit than to change into different clothes?

This. I can't imagine the hell they are going through - the whole family + him - not only are they worried sick over her but if nothing is ever found - the suspicion and repercussions he/AG would have to live with could be pretty negatively life altering.

I believe that they are reflective patches on top of the shoulder belts of the backpack. Some backpacks that have them are intended for bicycle riders at night so that they can be more visible to oncoming cars.

I'm not sure what to make of it at all. I think it is possible he had disabled the internet before approaching the door and then was surprised when he saw the Nest camera recording light come on (I have a Nest door bell cam and the light starts blinking or turns green or something when it notices motion)... this is the point where he tries to smash it with his fist and then goes to grab flowers. Doesn't seem like a professional. Doesn't seem like a handyman/someone who works on her house either-- why not just kill her and leave her if there was a dispute over money or something. Seems targeted for sure though.

in the last video shared by FBI, it was before all the other ones. He approaches the front door with his head down, as if he knew it was there or at least spotted it pretty quickly. IMO
