Did they turn the house back over the family? They would essentially be allowing strangers to wander all over a crime scene. Hopefully, LE has what they need by now.
Why not just keep the yellow police tape around the house? Maybe pizza man wouldn't have walked up to the door---maybe the reporter wouldn't have walked up to the door. Re-watching Idaho when LE first arrived on scene--they IMMEDIATELY put up police tape! This is where my frustration is coming from---the SO looks like they are incompetent. Is that incompetence purposeful? IDK--but its real frustrating to watch this get bungled up like it has.

Sorry to be so critical of LE---I've never been critical of them before and have always been supportive.

But something is not adding up for me, are they trying to protect someone? Someone has to talk....and soon....

Wonder how long the man questioned last night was their POI. Sometime after Rio Rico?
What made him a PoI? Of course we do not know.
Could be phone pings or he could have do e work at Nancy’s house.

The man in Rio Rico has a grey suv and the range rover is grey.

ANYONE else find it strange that there are no organized searches? One lady who volunteers anywhere they are searching for missing people including bodies can't believe there is nothing organized. I don't get it. Also I think LE does owe at least a press conf. every few days with update on things. I have never seen a crime like this with no press conferences.

I don’t find it strange at all. IMO NG was abducted from her home, likely transported in a vehicle. Large ground searches in this case are not effective. You can’t clear thousands of square miles without a target. The investigation is on digital evidence, dna, surveillance, vehicles , developing POI, and of course identifying the suspect(s). They don’t need community volunteers out searching either. No way. If a ground search is needed , LE will utilize their trusted and experienced SAR teams that know how to properly ground search, document and alert to evidence or human remains.

I also don’t think PC’s are needed right now. Definitely not routinely at this stage. The FBI released the video of the suspect. That’s the focus along with the date ranges LE is asking area residents to think back on and to review their own home security video. IMO

A thought about the drop-off after the game night:

The driveway appears to be decomposed granite, which is very common in desertscape settings. It has been said that she utilizes a cane. Perhaps pulling into the garage would be easier for her exit, especially in the dark, considering her cane (and her feet) would land on concrete versus loose-ish small gravel.

Just throwing that thought into the mix.

I wonder if the SIL is the one that set up for the pool to be cleaned by a new company…🤔

He sounded frustrated from the very first presser. As I recall, he made a comment about the media/reporters calling him all night and said “you’re driving me crazy.” If he’s exhausted why not appoint a PIO to handle the media and press conferences? JMHO
Speaking as a current PIO and former reporter, I couldn't agree more. JMHO.

So the sheriff has come out today and said that the person pulled over in the Range Rover *was* their primary suspect. It was clear from the video I saw that this guy was definitely NOT the same build as "front door guy". Now it's possible he was the one who broke in the back door....but... what if the *vehicle* is why they think this is their guy (car's wifi pinging cell towers or such)? The Range Rover had just been purchased in the last 2 days....and the ad is still around showing that it was for sale at MG Motors on Oracle Rd. for $17,995. So...couldn't the owner of MG Motors (who looks like he fits the description of the front door guy and has similar facial features) be the true suspect since he would have had possession of the car 2 weeks ago?
I think that is who was driving the RR last night. Don’t think it’s been sold. It’s still for sale on their website

Good points. I wonder why her pacemaker did not send an alert at the time she was awakened by masked armed strangers. My husband has a pacemaker and it sends data every night but it also has triggers setup to alert doctors if heart rate goes to high or too low. Certainly it would have spiked if she woke up. Maybe someone spiked her drink at dinner to make sure she slept soundly.
Does the pacemaker require an internet connection to send those alerts to the doctor? If not, what sort of connection does it use? If (speculating) the internet had been disconnected at NG's home, wouldn't that prevent that sort of alert being sent?

Or perhaps only certain kinds of pacemakers send those alerts and others don't?

All MOO

So have the kidnappers given up trying to get paid and stopped demanding ransom money? And how about the bitcoin man and his information on who the kidnapper is? Have these two just disappeared into the ether no longer to be heard from? Too many questions and no answers.......

Interestingly, the car seems to no longer be on the website.

I've been watching the NewsNation special tonight with Brian Entin. I just learned the police had a "signal sniffer" to see if they could connect to Nancy's pacemaker that they had sent in for the search. I wasn't sure that they had tried that, but I'm glad to know they have that tool in case they have a different area to search. I'm still hoping she's alive, but if she's not at least they could find her body.

So according to this article only the man who was detained at the house has been released. It doesn’t mention the main detained at the RR as being released.
It was reported everyone was released that was detained last night.

However, hopefully they’re able to get a match through dna they took from each person that was detained. To get a warrant to tow the Range Rover and search the house they must of had something good! It’s possible they were all released, because they didn’t have enough evidence to make an arrest. Not because they had nothing. Not sure if that makes sense! Trying to stay positive here!

Why not just keep the yellow police tape around the house?
Because police tape means Do Not Cross, We Mean It. When that no longer applies, the tape is taken down. So family can enter the home, etc.

If you leave up police tape that people are routinely crossing, then it no longer means Do Not Cross, it means Ignore this Tape

My main query......what is this distracting us from? It seems like a 3 ring circus. Why the top priority when millions of missing with a tiny fraction, if even that, of coverage. What is the TRUTH??
NG is the mother of a known tv news host. Why begrudge NG's missing because of the fact that millions of others are also missing. In my opinion, if it brings awareness to how quickly all of us can face an abduction or murder. And if it helps LE to develop better methods to catch an abduction earlier and bring them home in days rather than weeks, it's worth the coverage. I don't see a 3-ring circus, outside of social media. JMO

I don't know what the solve rate is for abductions, but I suspect it's quite low. He's dealing with the high likelihood that either she died before she left the house or died shortly afterwards, and her body was left somewhere. This is a vast area with lots of places to leave a body. My opinion is that her body will never be found. I'm sorry to say that, because I know that many here are aching for her return.

If he suspects this, or in fact knows this, he's looking at years of unrewarding, dogged work, chasing thousands of leads. This is the rest of his career frankly and it will never leave him. His entire career will be judged, harshly, by the lack of results and failure to deliver an outcome people want. Who knows if he'll be able to identify suspects who can be prosecuted.

I'm sure it's not a case that he welcomed or wanted. It's not going be a positive outcome or a satisfying end to his career. It's going to be depressing and demoralizing for all.
To be fair, his career has been rocky from the start IMO. It's not just this case he will be judged on, though this case will definitely be huge.

Is it possible that one of the three detained/released last night is the person caught on NG’s camera?

The strange things are why do you remove and 84 yr old woman from her home and what do you do with her? Somewhere I read - among all the comments everywhere - that a former FBI experienced agent said the abduction appeared to be staged. Staged well after she was abducted? Staged by who? Why staged? Just an interesting perspective. Not much else to consider right now.
