The profile of a burglar who messed up isn’t consistent with the ransom notes, described repeatedly by Levin as being well structured, detailed, and well written. It also doesn’t fit with the ability to successfully hide digital tracks when submitting those letters to multiple news outlets.

My recent feeling about the perpetrators doesn’t fit with what we know of the ransom notes, either. Yet the writer had knowledge of the crime (watch location, state of rear floodlights). So perhaps the ransom has come from an opportunistic associate, as some people suggested early on.

This case reminds me of the first month of the Idaho case. I suspect the person who did this was similar to that one in that the family won't know the person.

Not sure about this. It doesn’t seem like SG would make a decision about her future at this point but it’s possible.

“(NewsNation) — “Today” co-host Savannah Guthrie is weighing a permanent exit from the top-rated morning show as the frantic search for her mother, Nancy Guthrie, drags into its third week, sources tell NewsNation’s Paula Froelich.

Savannah Guthrie has been on leave as the FBI and authorities in Pima County, Arizona, pursue investigative leads into Nancy Guthrie’s Feb. 1 disappearance from her Tucson area home. It’s believed the 84-year-old grandmother was taken, and media outlets have received bitcoin ransom demands.

“This absolutely came out of the blue, and I think she’s really concerned that it was because of her job,” Froelich, NewsNation senior story editor, told “NewsNation Prime” on Saturday.

I really hope there is a resolution and closure for her and family soon. I hope she doesn’t leave the Today Show. I know RN she is wondering if her position played a part in the perps idea of the crime. But, none of us know this yet. They say after any major trauma, don’t change anything big for a while.
Leaving the Today Show RN, would be giving away some of her power to the perps, I hope she isn’t so crushed by this that she folds.
I get the impression she will always land on her feet, no matter what she decides. So if she does leave Today Show, she will likely rise again like a phoenix! 🙏

JMO it would be challenging for a single man to move a 150lb woman very far.
Not at all. I've done it for great distances and I'm only 180 lbs myself. You don't need strength when you have leverage and your core and legs are doing the work. If there was a car waiting (and I think there was) it's only a matter of about 20-30 ft, if that. This position also perfectly accounts for the undisturbed blood pattern. IMO

first responders, EMTs, furniture movers, warehouse folk, mechanics, move 150 lbs... it is not that heavy for a working person who lifts things- yes, better to use a dolly or a hydraulic lift or a fork lift, and possibly bad for the back, but it is not impossible IMO
They do lift heavy stuff... but it is very difficult to move a body that is not cooperating. It's cumbersome and awkward. It can of course be done but it's not that easy.

From your link:

“2:12 a.m. — The camera’s software detects movement. Investigators initially said that there was no video available since Guthrie didn’t have an active subscription to the company. But digital forensics experts kept working to find images in backend software that might have been lost, corrupted or inaccessible.”

Levin has said in a couple of his videos that he confirmed with LE that the recovered FBI images and video were from 2:12 am. And the pacemaker’s “disconnection” is likely an alert indicating the app’s failure to make its daily connection to the iPhone. (See previous posts, like this one.)

If things started at or around 1:47 am, I don’t see anything in the timeline that doesn’t correspond with “what we’re seeing in the FBI video may be from the end.”
Apparently her pacemaker detected
Just noting that I find it interesting the last couple of videos have been SG alone, when we'd seen the siblings all together for a couple of videos.

They've been SG only after that search at AG's last weekend

Jmo
Maybe SG determined--with expert advise--that it's a more personal interaction if it's just SG talking to the perpetrator and she's better able to express the care and softness on a 1-1 basis. Since SG does something similar for a living, SG likely has the best skills to communicate this strategic and seemingly caring approach in a persuasive way. JMO

How would it be an intended burglary? 1.) A man breaks in to steal and then sees pictures of SG and decides to take it to another level that includes abduction and ransom? Or 2.) a man breaks in, something happens to NG, the perp sees pictures of SG and decides to take her body, then decides to ask for ransom? (Just being honest here-I somewhat knew of SG before all of this, have never watched The Today Show, but I would never recognise her in person, let alone a picture in a woman's home in Tucson, AZ.) jmoo
I assume that they knew she was SG’s mom and that’s why she was targeted for the burglary. Either through word of mouth (someone in the neighborhood or someone who worked for NG for example) or because they saw SG’s hometown special on tv. Completely my opinion though.

Yes, her heart would need to be beating for her to be bleeding and dripping blood. You are correct.
There are cases where a person can continue to bleed for a short time after death;

"Immediately after death, the blood is "unfixed" and will move to other body parts if the body's position is changed. After a few hours, the pooled blood becomes "fixed" and will not move."

So if she was put over Perps shoulder to take her out of the home and she had some trauma where blood was pooling (even no trauma as it naturally starts the pooling process with circulation gone) it might account for the blood on the porch (facing down or lowest point of her body gravity).

Why are there so many photos of SG and NG but not NG and AG?

Because SG is already a public figure and likely more comfortable with her face being more out there. Maybe AG wants to keep as much of her anonymity as possible.

Like I said about 1000 pages ago, especially without leaving a lot of evidence, like drag marks. I can't see that guy in the porch video throwing her over his shoulder and carrying her away.

I would posit that there did not appear to be blood stains on porch from FBI lantana man video.

Hey I was the one who stated that based on my perception the perp is using a screwdriver (or some similar tool set) based on the tools and motions he uses for loosening both the top and bottom of the camera. According to a guest expert on Megyn Kelly, in addition to a Hex key, the use of a small screwdriver is the most common way to remove a secured Nest camera from its mount.

Sorry I couldn’t grab a picture for when he the second tool on his upper right

MOO but it would make sense that the perp would anticipate having to bring and use these tools and likely did since it did not seem he could just simply pull and remove the camera from its mount

JMO/MOP

There is no screwdriver seen during the footage at any point though. We see him seem to check or feel how secure the camera is at the bottom at one point but nothing beyond that besides covering the lens with the plant.

Agree, I doubt they will give up location. Like you said, maybe too much evidence.

SG, IMO, is talking to the perp directly. This is what he craves! SG's attention. Undivided attention....he's been suffering from unrequited love from her for sooooo long! Think like a frustrated stalker who has the ultimate souvenir that keeps on giving. He has the mom of the object of his affection! Maybe he even sits and talks to NG. Asks for stories about SG. As an aside, the other day SG posted that video of her, her sister and NG from many years ago. That wasn't from just grieving, imo. That was something designed to appeal to the perp. Might even have been done at the perp's direction. Nancy may be alive. She's an insurance policy for the perp. ( SO HE FANTASIZES IN HIS TWISTED BRAIN) SG will continue to speak to him as long as he has NG. Some day he will release NG, perhaps. He will tell himself he is righteous and noble and returning NG to her family and SG will love him forever for that. THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX! MOO

True. So NG certainly hadn’t been carried out yet.

This can continue for quite some actually because the clotting mechanism in a deceased person is not functioning. Even a minor open wound will drain blood to gravity until that source of blood expires. IMO
