Per GK's testimony the AK's blood got on his bag. When he picked it up he slung it over his shoulder onto his back and that's how he got blood on the back of his shirt. Regarding the dirt on the front...that was likely from when the police took him down.
I finally had a chance to watch GK's 'performance' on the stand.
So whose story to believe? I think that will be easy for the jury, no matter how weak or strong the closing arguments are on either side.
Arielle's testimony did not conflict with any other witness (other than Gerhardt's)...
I hope he will find the right way.
I'm not sure if any of you watched the Kevin West trial. Both of his children (early 20s) defended him during the trial. But by the time the sentencing hearing came up, his daughter was courageous and spoke up about how she realized now that her father had...
So what was the goal of the perpetrators? Simple robbery? Kidnapping?
But it seems that Fernando was killed, so the kidnapping for money aspect seems out of the question. Unless there was a 'mishap'.
I forgot to mention that during the presser LE said that there are no photos of Aleise. :(
Madaford Gardens complex, where the vehicle was found, is only 1.5 miles away, so it is walkable back to the apartments on New Hampshire, if someone had to go back to get their own vehicle or back to...
This sounds ominous
Here's a press conference:
AMBER Alert: 5-year-old girl abducted in stolen vehicle in Affton
Based on various images of where the police were parked I'm guessing that she disappeared from this low-rise apartment building with the dirt parking lot (center of the screen...
Thank you so much for sharing your insight!
And, yes, many of us from Norte America aren't very smart or alert to danger. (I'd put myself solidly in the 'alert to danger' bucket.) But Fernando would supposedly be aware of the dangers, wouldn't he?
I became completely enamored with Medellin...
We don't know what his son will testify to. I hope he does the right thing but can you imagine how difficult it would be for a son to turn against his dad and stand with his stepmother?
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he will do the right thing.
I'm sending him healing vibes. No one...
His poor partner and his poor family. I can't imagine what they are going through. Losing a loved one to violence in a foreign country must be one of the worst ways to lose someone you care about. :(
My understanding is that Medellin became quite popular with digital nomads over the past decade...
I'm curious about the vial/drugs as well. It you were going to push someone off a cliff why would you need drugs? Would they be to keep the victim from screaming? It the fall would be deadly, why risk carrying drugs with you? Why fiddle with them and complicate the process.
Just noodling this...
You are referring to James Craig, but he didn't take the stand and I think the court only allowed the opening and closings to be broadcast.
Other recent cases where the defendant took the stand include Kevin West (the fire chief who was convicted of strangling his wife and pretending she died...
I missed this trial but remember the case from back when Janell was missing. It was long-overdue justice for that young woman but at least it's finally done.
Agree. And isolating. Her co-workers were on the mainland I believe.
I'm sure he sold it to her as a great lifestyle. But most of us need people around us.
The thing that has bothered me the most about this trial (other than GK asserting his innocence) is when the defense kept going after AK trying to get her to say over and over again that she had an 'affair'. She kept clarifying that it was an emotional affair, and yet they kept hounding her...
Thank you for your reply Sundog. I appreciate it.
I agree that it is important to protect those rights. I want everyone to be able to worship freely. And it should be a right that is upheld.
But I'm guessing that you and I disagree on Don Lemon's role in the protest. I also think it's important...
You forgot to answer the question on whether you spoke up on behalf of the people killed. Sorry if I missed it. I don't believe there have been criminal charges in those cases, yet those people are dead. For simply protesting.
Don Lemon was reporting on a protest.
It seems to me that the...
