Why oh why, when he seems to have been more than willing to make himself available, did they not conduct a proper face to face interview? Might it be that, had they done the job properly, it might have exposed way too much follow up work to be done?

But still the ultimate wrong about all this is that they never interviewed Hobbs back in '93, let alone do door to door canvassing in Stevie Branch's neighbourhood. I am hard put to find anything that was actually done well in the investigation of this case.
