Random thoughts from today's new insights:

I wonder if TS is pushing back a bit from the prescribed story of taking the fall for them both. Reason #1: Did he corroborate HM's hit-for-hire request with LE? Or did that that info come solely come from texts?

Reason #2
How did LE know HM said she wanted her mother dead?
"...Mrs Mack told her daughter that she had married a man with black skin, but that he had money.
Ms Ariani said this made Mack and Schaefer angry and that Mack declared she wanted her mother dead...."
Was this in a text too, or did TS tell LE? (I doubt if HM would disclose this)

Reason #3: After bashing SWVM in the face a few times, TS calls SWVM several times to make sure she is dead, and then tells HM Sheila is dead, as if fulfilling the above request (my paraphrasing of today's accounts). Did TS disclose this account to LE? If so, it looks like he's pushing back a bit, and may be implicating HM all the way. Or did they both confess this part of the story?

Lots of new info, but still so many questions...

I wonder if HM and TS deleted all texts before they were arrested - don't forget, whatever the plans were, they didn't include getting arrested. I ask because I wonder how soon they realized the police have the incriminating texts.

The police have been suggesting pre-meditation almost since the beginning, but it was never clear why they thought so.

I would think a sequence of texts discussing this, starting from before TS got to Bali, would be HM's worst nightmare, because it establishes pre-meditation.

Something else that's been niggling in my mind. At the hotel party, do I understand correctly: both HM and TS were taken in by the police, but only TS was being arraigned - on the fraudulent cc charges?

That is correct. I believe it was for a disorderly b/c he started getting into it with the cops at the hotel, not on the fraud.

I hope so. All I can say is if I were TS's Mother and presumably she has been reading up on the Bali legal system, he and I would have immediately had what I like to call the "Come to Jesus talk" when dealing with particularly stubborn or idiotic clients. I believe that him telling the truth about HM's role is probably the only mitigating factor in his case, if there is one, that he has.

Took me a long time to hear you over the miles and distance. Thanks. :blowkiss: Everybody here is posting and making catching up easier. :grouphug:

Shocked there's so much news. Relieved there's incriminating texts proving HM wanted to have her mother murdered. I have a lot of reading to do. Be back later.

It is my understanding that LE can retrieve deleted messages. Can any LE out there verify this?

I hope so too...not so much so that TS can get any leniency, but so that HM doesn't get off with a slap on the wrist, free to collect SvWM's $$$, and live on in her crazy version of happily ever after.

What a terrible sad story this is.
Which starts and ends with Heather.

After today's relevations. I personally think that she's been planning someway or another to kill her Mother and wrest control of the money she believes she's somehow entitled to.

Pregnant or not. This 19 year old woman is devoid of feelings.

I do not pity her very stupid baby daddy.

I think that both of them deserve life in prison.

They took away a good, loving human being`s life for Money.

Being pregnant, does not make Heather any Madonna.
From what I Know. I would place Heather in the harshest conditions known in Bali.
If that means death row. I'm okay with that.
Seriously.
Who on earth stuffs their murdered mother, naked with her face bashed in.

Into a suit case? Jumping on the suitcase to make the body fit?
PURE evil.

Oh yeah ... I don't feel sorry for him at all. At times in the past I have almost felt sorry for him. But he is an ijit. He was evidently in it for the money too. And savagely beat a woman to death for it .. and went on to stuff her unceremoniously into a suitcase .. and ran away to a hotel to bonk his babe, after a quick trip to the airport. Down he goes.

You can restore your own deleted texts from back up. I believe they both had an Iphone or at least I know he did. If they were using ICloud as a back up it would be very easy to get any deleted texts. I think there is also recovery software that you can download to get back deleted texts. And of course as we know, smart phones are basically computers and LE can retrieve any and all information from them. There is a case on here of a missing woman whose Iphone was found submerged in a lake for a week and LE were able to retrieve everything from it. Doubt the Bali LE even needed the FBI for help to get the messages from the phones in this case.

Heather is the one who wanted her mother killed, and her money. Heather is the one who was having a blazing fight with her mother in the lobby in the middle of the night. Heather is the one who called Tommy to come to the room. Heather opened the door for the man carrying a fruit bowl weapon. To top it all off, there are texts messages to prove Heather was looking to pay someone to kill her mother. Stupid Tommy certainly went along with this. Mother was dead same night he arrived in Bali. Freedom of speech, SWM had every right to say whatever without being killed. If she said anything, it hardly matters because these two were going to kill her anyways. Heather wanted the money, not just her own freedom to have baby or relationship, she wanted all her mother's money.

It doesn't matter to me if Heather went to the bathroom while the killing was completed. She sure rushed out of the bathroom to sit on the suitcase containing her own murdered mother. Argh, she's disgusting. She definitely deserves as harsh a sentence as her boyfriend. It's not possible for me to actually feel sorry for either of them. They're cold-hearted mother killers.

I feel sorry for the baby and hope she is adopted by a loving family.

The court heard that at 3:40 am on August 12, Ms Von Wiese Mack asked the manager on duty if he had seen her daughter.

The manager explained that Ms Von Wiese Mack was in fact paying for two rooms and her daughter may be in the second room with Schaefer.
Ms Von Wiese Mack angrily confronted her daughter in the lobby and said: "So Tommy Schaefer the thief is here?", prompting a bitter fight.

The court heard Heather Mack returned to her room with her mother but continued to communicate with Schaeffer via text message.

The couple allegedly schemed to kill Ms Von Wiese Mack, with one plot involving suffocating her with a pillow and another making the death appear like a suicide by the beach.

This would be testimony based on what employees said. After that is the ridiculous story of what the murderers claim happened. So it appears that HM was likely in TS's room until 3:40am until SWM went looking for her. I wonder what time he actually checked in. So when the hotel employee told SWM there was another room booked to her credit card, she probably got them to call the room and demand HM meet her in the lobby. Funny how SWM apparently only called TS a "thief" in front of hotel staff but called him a ni***r when he came to her room. Even though she was apparently lying in bed when she was struck.

What a load of carp.

"Put 'em in a coffin. Squad."

How these two giggled over saying those words. Now, those words may be taking on a whole new meaning for them. Tommy looks like he is actually worried about a firing squad, and Heather is not smiling as much.

Is it life imitating art, or just ironic, that those words aren't funny anymore?

TS crying...for SWVM? Or most likely himself. He's screwed.

Boohoo! TS you have been used to commit murder. Now its clearer even after passport delays why TS still showed up in Bali two days before the Mack's were to return to Chicago. Jmo

Apparently they still are amusing to HM. She is still re vining Vonmar's "put em in a coffin...squad" stunts behind bars.
