Kayla said her 14-year-old daughter, Kamara Green, had a disagreement with her on Mother’s Day. She took her daughter’s phone and, within 24 hours, the Monterey Trails High School student disappeared.

*****
“The next day someone that was supposedly my daughter called the school police and said that she was OK and in Sacramento. And she also did reach out to my daughter,” Kayla said.

Kayla said the family hasn’t heard from Kamara in seven weeks.

After reviewing messages on her daughter’s phone, Kayla is now fearing the worst.

“I saw that she was talking to a man for at least 8 months and the content was very sexual in nature,” Kayla said.

Community Activist Berry Accius is urging the community to take runaway cases seriously.

“We don’t know what this 14-year-old is doing to survive. Let's really think about that. A 14-year-old Black girl is out somewhere surviving, figuring it out,” Accius said.

Hopefully the FBI is involved and LE is working day-and-night to find her and arrest the predator. I feel for her and her mother and hope she is located safe.

The Monterey Trails ninth grader was supposed to go to school on May 14, but she never showed up and never came home.

11 weeks after Kamara went missing, the California Highway Patrol issued an 'Ebony Alert.'

Kayla said it's possible her daughter is with a man from Texas who was exchanging messages with Kamara.
She added that she's also frustrated it took weeks to

A teen girl who was reported missing from Sacramento nearly a year ago was rescued from a predator in Houston, Texas, according to Harris County Constable Precinct

*****
The male was identified as Tarik Exavier Jammer, 28, and the female as the missing Sacramento teen. An investigation revealed that the girl met Jammer online while playing video games and ran away from home to be with him, according to Harris County Constable Precinct 4. While with him, she turned 15.

Houston deputies said they formed a “sexual/dating relationship,” however, by law, a 14-year-old girl cannot consent to being with a 28-year-old man. In California, that is considered statutory rape.

A man and a missing teenage girl were found hiding out in a vacant home in northwest Harris County, and what investigators uncovered is raising new concerns about how online gaming can be used to target kids.

*****
Authorities say Jammer picked her up from the airport after she left California. He initially claimed she was 19—but that wasn’t true. She’s a minor, and police say they found explicit videos of her on his phone.

Jammer has now been charged with sexual performance of a child and is being held in the Harris County Jail on a $50,000 bond. A protective order has also been issued to keep him away from the teen.

*****
“This is a reminder for parents to stay alert,” CEO of Children at Risk Bob Sanborn said. “It’s not just Snapchat or Facebook—video games are another space where predators can easily connect with kids. It may seem harmless, but there’s a lot of contact and grooming that happens there, especially between young girls and older men.”
