GUILTY Canada - Karina Wolfe, 20, Saskatoon, 2 July 2010

  • #21
This girl is missing from my hometown since July 2 2010. There hasn't been a lot of coverage on her since she went missing. She is one of many aboriginal women who have disappeared and haven't had their cases heard.

Let's bring this case back to light and pray that her family will get answers. Karina is described as aborginal, is 5’7” and 110 pounds.

The original discovery of the remains stemmed from a tip police say they received on Nov. 10.

The part about receiving a tip was interesting, imo.
It just goes to show that sometimes and perhaps even more often than not, somebody has information concerning some of the missing persons. Better late than never as the saying goes, but gee- wish more people would step forward and help the families of mps who suffer so very much, imo.

I would guess it's the man driving the car where she was last seen. Even if LE knew who he was, they probably couldn't do anything as long as they were not sure she was dead.

The 33-year-old man accused of second-degree murder in her death has been before a justice of the peace. He is set to appear in provincial court in Saskatoon Monday morning as the legal process continues. It's at that stage when the identity of the accused would be formally released by authorities.

We should find out who the suspect is this morning.

The man accused of murdering Karina Wolfe is a registered sex offender with previous convictions for assault and sexual assault.

Police allege that Jerry Franklin Constant, 33, killed Wolfe in July, 2010 and hid her body in a marshy area northwest of the city. He appeared in provincial court this morning and is now charged with second degree murder.

It's not his first time before a judge.

Ugh!!! Why do they set these guys free?

Apparently he was acquitted of rape because of the judge not believing the complainant. Hopefully, this second degree murder charge is not because the victim is a woman, Aboriginal and possibly a sex-trade worker. Murder is murder. Stop killing our women!

A Saskatoon man has pleaded guilty in the death of Karina Wolfe, 20, after her remains were found in a marshy area northwest of the city this winter.

Jerry Constant, 33, pleaded guilty in the Saskatoon Court of Queen's Bench to second-degree murder and offering an indignity to human remains.

Judge Gerald Albright sentenced Constant to life in prison with no chance of parole until 14 years has been served. The judge also sentenced Constant to five years for indignity to human remains, to be served at the same time as the life sentence.
