I know it is none of my business, I do, but respectfully, what the fuzz happened?

maybe he fell over and she didn't know what to do in the emergency situation or even how to control the boat so was just floating along hoping to be found?

it's a strange one for sure

Thankful if they were both found alive, pending confirmation on that.

But we need to know the rest of the story. I wonder if we will?

This report says that the pair were last heard from on 20 July:

They were reported missing on 13 August, and Julie was located on 17 August.

So i wonder what was going on from 20 July to 13 August (24 days) before they were reported missing?

I've found two people who commented the he was found alive, one said he's alive but with no source, the other said the brother posted he was found alive. Without knowing the brother's name, I can't find it. I did a keyword search with the name, but it didn't come up.

I found them.

I clicked on his page and he does have a brother listed as Robert. When I click on Robert's page there are no pictures of him. Robert has a family member listed as his mother and she also has no pictures of him, and there are no pleas for his return on either the purported brother's or mother's page. Which struck me as kind of odd. But also if he has been found why wouldn't law enforcement just say so? I can't imagine it's that difficult to just release a brief press statement that says "hey, we found this guy, he's alive, yay!"

Of course, that's exactly what they do, once they confirm a person is alive and well. Police are always reliable that way, unlike internet rumours.

Happy to hear they were both officially found alive and safe, but what a weird story.

I think the key word here is 'believed'. As in he was believed to be travelling with Julie De Myer. Perhaps they started out travelling together then parted ways at some point leading LE to assume they were together on the sailboat ?
