<<Roxanne was 29 years old when she disappeared from Edmonton, Alberta on September 24th, 2013. The last her family heard of her was in September of 2007. She was known to live around 118th avenue in the Beverly neighborhood of Edmonton. She had planned to meet up with her grandmother who was temporarily looking after her two children. Roxanne never arrived. RCMP picked her up on prostitution charges in 2011 in Fort St John, British Columbia, and was not heard from again after her release.
Roxanne had a troubled childhood. She was molested when she was five and suffered from post traumatic stress disorder, frequently having night terrors and flashbacks. Roxanne tried to commit suicide once as a preteen and once at the age of 15 while she was under the care of social services. In her mid-twenties Roxanne had another mental health episode where her sister picked her up from a roadside ditch and nursed her back to health. She is dearly missed by her family and she remains missing. Roxanne was fearful of men and even had trouble caring for her sons due to the sexual trauma she endured.>>
Tribal Information: Roxanne is a member of the Drift Pile Cree Nation several hours south of Edmonton.
