I'm having a hard time having any sympathy for someone who has a history of beating women. The only people I feel bad for in this situation are his family. I have no idea why this pathetic loser keeps on getting a free pass in Hollywood. I'm not going to sugarcoat my opinion about abusers whether they're in the hospital or not, or dead or alive. I also can't wait to see all the new fans of ~*misunderstood*~ Charlie Sheen if he dies. Come on, does he have to KILL a woman before people open their eyes?

Considering that he is the star of CBS's biggest show, you know they spend millions of dollars "downplaying" all the disgusting stuff he does. Just compare how Lindsay Lohan is treated in the media compared to Charlie Sheen.

WOW! but I did predict this in the prediction thread, I think anyone could have seen this one coming.
I too like Charlie, and not because he is a woman beater NO!. :no:
I met him in my apartment when he filmed wall street here.
That was in the "80's when he was very young and sweet, kind and funny, and a perfect gentleman filled with charm.
Back then you can really see who Charlie really is. I do not know what happened to Charlie, but it saddens me to see it, what makes someone become so opposite of so much beauty and potential?
The hookers, the drugs, the violence all seem to be pointing to a troubled man who should get help NOW.
I hope this wakes him up, before something worse happens.
I hope he finds some fulfilment because it seems that all the money in the world is just helping him be more and more destructive.
Those of you who only see a woman beater druggie, are right if that is all you see of him.
But I saw him long before that all took over who he really is so I am sad and I hope he heals.

I hope he someday gets it together. Robert Downey gives me hope. He has been on the straight and narrow for a while now, or so it seems. Maybe Charlie can do the same someday.

Look what it took for Robert Downey to get it right finally. Maybe if Sheen got locked up for real for a substantial amount of time that would help. However, as we know that's not always the case.

Gotta wonder how in the world did he stay clean when first married to Denise Richards?

My one pet peeve with Sheen and of course I do not know him personally is when he showed up to support Tom Sizemore when he beat Heidi Fleiss senseless. I know she is no innocent, but I thought that was wrong.

ETA Sorry, but the fact that he is a celebrity makes me confident if he needs a transplant, he will manage to get one, and I don't necessarily approve of that. IF that is even the case.

I had no idea there were so many of them, so I looked it up. But I'm with you -- it's not right. My husband's former wife died while awaiting a liver transplant.

A hiatal hernia usually causes chest pain and throat problems--I know because I have one, and I never smoked or used cocaine, or any other drugs--I have no idea how I got it. I had GERD for a few years and never knew about the hernia until I had an endoscopy. The two conditions go together. I'm wondering about the "abdominal pain" they say Charlie had. Doesn't seem to match up.

But if he was drinking and smoking coke, it would definitely cause gastric upset. Maybe the reporters made a mistake when they said "abdominal pain" ?

ITA. It's hard to tell the difference between real Charlie and TV Charlie. Both of whom are uncomfortable to watch IMO.

Its cute and funny and charming in a bad boy sort of way on tv because it seems like a characature (sp?), very broad and overthetop.

It loses its appeal when the life is imitating the characature. Then it just seems sad and sort of pathetic. I do hope he gets it together before he dies tho. He is an icon of the 80s (my teen years). All those john hughes films.

made wonderful progress.

I wouldn't know where to start with Charlie. He's got drug problems, alcohol problems, and sex problems. Plus, throw in anger management issues. I was really hoping the hooker problem was a thing of the past, but apparently it isn't.

He really needs to grow up and get himself together. He's got five kids, for cripes sake!

Yep, I hope he gets help, too. Dennis Miller says that there is a decent person under all this. I do hope he gets the help before he kills himself too. Right now, he's killing all the people who love him (like his kids.)

IMO, Lots of money and lack of self control= Disaster. 30K could have bought a school alot of computers, saved alot of abused animals, fed alot of kids, bought alot of coats and blankets, etc etc. Maybe Charlie does put his money to good use and we don't hear about it.
