Update: Derek Pettigrew's vehicle was located unoccupied on HWY127 near mile marker 6. Derek Pettigrew, a 22-year-old, white male, 6’00 Tall, 155 Lbs., brown hair and blue eyes was last seen leaving the Fort Collins area on 07/15/2025 in a Blue 2015 Subaru Station Wagon bearing Colorado plate JOS-519. The vehicle was located unoccupied on HWY 127 in Jackson County, CO. Subject is believed to be suffering from a mental health condition. If located, use caution and contact 911 or the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

The car belonging to a missing 22-year-old Colorado man was found over 100 miles away from where he went missing this week. Derek Pettigrew was last seen leaving the Fort Collins area on July 15.

Fox affiliate KDVR reported that milepost 6 on the highway — where the vehicle was found — is near the border of Colorado and Wyoming, and at the intersection with Forest Service Road 895, near Pinkham Mountain.
