I think it would be a lot more sensical for this BLM representative to call out the health and governmental systems that failed JN in the lead up to his death, rather than calling for vigilantism against DP…
In that regard, they’d probably find support amongst those who were happy with DP’s innocence, too. Calling for vigilantism will only divide further.

Just imo.
Yes @CooperDyl …. have to agree. And IMO I would not entirely absolve the DA nor prosecutors in the case. Seems there is IMO plenty of displeasure to go around. And for the DA to have intervened late in the case over the charges before the jury after deliberations had begun. And in spite of apparent agreed jury instructions? SMH. MOO

I don't think jurors identities should ever be released in any case. If they want to reveal themselves that is up to them, but they should have the right to anonymity. They didn't choose to be jurors. JMO
That makes good sense. For all trials.

“A strange legal move last week by Manhattan prosecutors ultimately led to the acquittal of Daniel Penny on Monday, legal experts told The Post.
“The move to dismiss the top charge of manslaughter against Penny, 26, in the May 2023 subway chokehold death of Jordan Neely backfired spectacularly on prosecutors in Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office, attorneys said.”

“To say that as a tactical matter, the DA botched their analysis here is an understatement,” said former Manhattan prosecutor Mark Bederow, who called the case “a failure of prosecutorial discretion.”

Commenting on my own post here. I feel very badly for Jordan Neely’s family for the loss of their loved one.

I also can’t help but feel that the DA’s office manipulated and overcharged the case. This may have given the family unrealistic expectations of a guilty verdict.

No winners here. All IMO.
