Do you keep tabs on who’s been publicly resolved and who’s had their NamUs/NCMPUR profiles taken down in comparison to these numbers by any chance? I know you track some of the data for them.

Sure, here are my notes, I am happy to share:

According to the DDP solved page, 130 Does have been publicly announced as identified, with 116 of those solved by the DDP. Based on the most recent update to the DDP Dashboard, the total number of Does identified by the DDP is 141, with around 25 cases still awaiting public announcement.

We know of two cases where the NamUs entries have been removed:

1. LaVergne Jane Doe, Tennessee, 2007 (her profile was removed in early 2023 I think)
2. Rural Hall Jane Doe, North Carolina, 2019

In addition, according to a Websleuths thread, Redbud Trail John Doe, Texas, 1998 has been tentatively identified.

So, there are currently around 20-22 Does with announcements still pending.

Also today, Missouri Street John Doe 2004 (AZ) has been removed from NamUs. The DDP had taken this case in collaboration with the Ramapo College Investigative Genetic Genealogy Center, but since one of the DDP team leads who was handling all the Ramapo cases left, the cases have essentially shifted over to Ramapo.

He was identified after his relatives likely recognized him, with confirmation aided by the fact that he was from El Salvador and by knowing his family names. Through genetic genealogy it was determined that he was from El Salvador, and identifying family names of interest which probably helped (just my opinion)

According to Pima County Medical Examiner website, Missouri Street John Doe 2004 was identified as Isidro Marcelo Guzman Quinde. Quinde was provided as a family name of interest for him during the DDP research.

The DDP are now working on John Doe found in Pima County in 1998

Unfortunately John Tucson Doe 1998 does not have a thread here. I am thinking to create one for him.

The DDP is working on a few other cases with Pima County:

1.Three Points John Doe 1988

Actually after the DDP started working on his case, his Namus profile was updated stating the following: “Early genealogy studies indicate decedent has origins in Sinaloa and Sonora, Mexico”

2.Finger Rock John Doe 1981

I wonder about this John Doe, as according to his DDP profile and I think thats what police think as well, this man was a rock climber who fell from a cliff. If it was so, I wonder why he was not reported missing..

IIRC Pima County has around 1000-2000 cases so any help making a dent in that certainly helps
