I remember a Bette Davis interview where she said Faye Dunaway was the “most unprofessional actor she ever worked with”. I wish the interviewer had asked who was worse Faye or Joan Crawford?

It’s a shame because Ms. Dunaway is a great actress I don’t know why she is destroying her legacy like this. I wonder what happened in the Gucci Sylvie Handbag shoot last year where she had to film in a old white limousine (given she hates the colour white) maybe she behaved that day.

FWIW, DH and I saw Faye Dunaway at Detroit's Fisher Theatre in her one-woman show, Master Class, in which she portrayed opera diva Maria Callas.

The show’s 10 July performance was abruptly cancelled moments before curtain as Dunaway had allegedly “slapped and thrown things at crew members who were trying to put on her wig”.

They then reported that Dunaway began “verbally abusing” the crew in the aftermath.

Dunaway’s firing came on the heels of the actor being “frequently late for rehearsals”, making a number of odd requests including one insisting that no one wear white to rehearsals because it “distracted [Dunaway]” and incidents in which she “allegedly threw mirrors, combs and boxes of hairpins at the staff”.

This sounds like a medical issue to me.

Amateur opinion and speculation

So many celebrities have alcohol and/or drug
abuse problems but it seems it's not openly
discussed until we hear the star is "suffering from exhaustion" or went away for an extended
vacation (rehab).

She's 78 years old.

The 1967 Bonnie and Clyde movie has always been a favorite of mine.

Yes. This could be a sign of confusion and dementia onset.
Pure amateur opinion and speculation.

At 78, she is still very much a beauty. Those cheekbones!

It might be but there are posts online from people that have worked with her since the 90s onward all saying the same thing that she is an absolute nightmare to work with and be around. The recent claims about her are not new.

However I totally respect the talent Ms. Dunaway has the Columbo episode she did is one of my favourites. I also thought she was great in the Towering Inferno, Network and Bonnie and Clyde.

Well it sounds like the Director didn't entertain her behavior and booted her. Sad business all around. Not the type of headline you want to be making at age 78, or ever.
