Ilta-Sanomat: Police suspect: Dismemberment murderer Janne Hyvönen murdered
Excerpts from the article:
"According to IL, Hyvönen died on Sunday, May 25, in a terraced house in Lavia, Pori, where an explosion occurred over the weekend. Hyvönen lived in the terraced house in question."
"According to Iltalehti, Hyvönen's business partner, who was convicted of attempted murder in recent years, also lives in the same row house. In addition, a person serving a life sentence for ax murder lives in the row house."
"A 43-year-old man, described as a serial offender and an old business partner of Hyvönen, is suspected of the murder. The other suspect is Jyrki Tapani Palomäki, 56, who was recently released from a life sentence. Palomäki was serving a life sentence for a murder he committed in 2004."
"Janne Hyvönen was known for the so-called Tampere and Pirkkala dismemberment murders in 2002 and 2003.
In 2002, Hyvönen stabbed a man to death who was almost at the point of exhaustion in the apartment of Virpi Butti, who became famous for the TV series Gladiators, in Tampere. Hyvönen was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder.
The following year, Butt, in turn, murdered the man in her apartment in Pirkkala. Butt called Hyvönen for help, who participated in the disposal of the body.
Later, Hyvönen told the crime magazine Alibi, among other things, how he “threw the victim’s legs into the oven, fried them and ate them”.
Hyvönen and Butt were sentenced to life imprisonment for the murders. The two were also found guilty of violating the peace of the grave and protecting a criminal."
As we can see, the guy was not a good person at all and he seemed to have met his demise in a similar way that his victims did.
