WINTER PARK, Fla. — A woman accused of killing her boyfriend by zipping him inside a suitcase is set to return to court this morning.

Orange County deputies said Sarah Boone and Jorge Torres were drunk when she put him in the bag during a game of hide-and-seek in their Winter Park apartment in February 2020.

Investigators said cellphone video shows Boone taunting Torres while he struggled to breathe.

“I can’t (expletive) breathe, seriously,” Torres is heard saying in the videos, according to deputies.

“That’s on you,” Boone replied, according to deputies. “That’s what it feels like when you cheat on me,” and “that’s what you do when you choke me,” and that he “should probably shut the (expletive) up.”

Boone’s trial is set to begin May 16.

I still cannot believe Sarah Boone turned down the plea bargain offered by the prosecution--15 years for voluntary manslaughter. I think everyone on WS knew she made a huge mistake turning that down. There simply was no way for her to overcome that video she took of Jorge zipped up into that suitcase, begging for his life, while she laughed. Now she is behind bars for the rest of her life, and that is exactly where she belongs, IMO.

Her narcissistic personality got in the way of taking responsibility, among the many others narcissistic traits shown. moo

It’s a blessing to society that she turned down that plea bargain. If she was let out, even after 15 years, she’d have another victim in no time.

Indeed. Also she does great in prison, really thrives. I'm so happy she found a space that works for her in life.

I'd be happy if she were miserable in prison for the rest of her life.

Actually @Trebor5591 and @Observe_dont_Absorb ….. from what I recall of the trial, the lead up to it, and the result….. it just might IMO be that both results you each mentioned happened? Both seem to be possibly true, perhaps? Hard to tell since only behavior and actions of the convicted defendant were on display. But sadly, JT lost his life in that matter where she had the upper hand. And IMO SB used that to detrimental and horrid effect. MOO

If only. We can be certain though she's making everyone in prison miserable for the test of her life.

She's a giver that way.

Oh it’s always fun to take a walk down Cray-Cray Lane… she ain’t getting an appeal.

Maybe the hold up is that SB is enjoying being in prison and it suits her.
She should just stay there anyway, if she can.

I think she's eligible for consideration of an Appeal no matter what? As long as she files the application in time.

SHOCKING UPDATE (not  )

“Due to the complete lack of proper and effective communication from her Court-Appointed Appellate Attorney, the Appellant’s appeal is now in jeopardy,” Boone wrote. The inquiry requests that the Court either compel Adams to “fulfill his legal duties and communicate immediately” or appoint her new counsel.

A notice posted to Boone’s court record indicates that she was granted an extension of time to file her appeal brief, with a new deadline of Sept. 1.

Needs to get LVD to be her new appellate attorney because she writes so well and is so successful at appeals.

Yes! And the evidence will show! It will show that they are both crazy.
