Not very often it’s a woman responsible for kidnapping a child.

That poor child :( I wonder what the motive would have been here? Seems so personal for a stranger abduction.

'The deceased's name has not yet been revealed - she is being referred to only as Lola'

''Lola's corpse was discovered on Friday evening by a homeless man who saw an abandoned suitcase on the street''

''Lola is seen partially obscured by the door as she follows her suspected killer, pictured centre. The suspect is seen wearing a grey jumper, white leggings and trainers. Lola quickly followed her into the building ''

  • ''Murder probe launched after body of schoolgirl found tied up in suitcase in Paris
  • Victim discovered with her feet and wrists bound and several cuts to her throat
  • Numbers found on body - not written or cut but 'placed' on her by a 'device'
  • CCTV footage has emerged of both suspect and victim entering girl's building
  • She was found at 11:30pm Friday night just hours after being reported missing''

''Chilling security camera footage has now emerged which showed the young girl, dressed in a white outfit and carrying what appears to be a schoolbag, walking into her building behind a woman who witnesses claimed was later seen carrying the suitcase.

The suspect, dressed in white trainers, light leggings and a grey jumper, walked through the door closely followed by Lola, who was seen wearing an all white outfit and carrying a bag''

Looks like the woman has an ID badge clipped on her jumper. Hopefully that will help identify her if the images can be cleaned up

Very very bizarre. Poor girl :(

What on earth could the '1' and '0' represent and what do they mean when they say made by a machine? Does it mean a tattoo?

In the photograph, the 'woman' looks very small in height, using the door frame as reference (altho cannot be certain of the door dimensions) and the shoulder of the victim, behind her, is at the same height as her own shoulder. The woman has been apprehended reports are saying but maybe she's a youngster too?

She doesn't look very old. Perhaps a university age student? I wonder if the victim knew her? What a shocking case this one is.

Could 10 be the tenth month?

Do we know the address? The only other thing that pop sin my mind is 10th arrondisement.

Edited to add: there are various other associations, from a quick search. Tarot card numbers, and things of that nature. Who knows what a disturbed person might do this for? So odd/awful :( Poor kid.

This is disturbing. Why are Lola's pictures being blurred? This is horrific, poor child.

Is it 10 or 01?

Ok, this happened in the 19th arrondisement...hmmm...

Translated: "Many questions remain unanswered in this macabre affair. After the body of a 12-year-old girl was found on Friday evening in a plastic trunk near her home in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, six people were taken into custody, including a woman arrested in Bois- Colombes, in the Hauts-de-Seine."

L O for 'Lola?' depending how it's written with the 'l' - is that her real name or a code name the police are using?

Reading it in French, it sounds as though two separate numbers. So a 1, and a 0. So very strange.

Translated: According to information from BFMTV, the numbers "1" and "0" were discovered, "placed" on the body, without it having been written in pen or marker, or scarified. Investigators do not know, for the moment, the meaning of these figures.

The woman taken into custody is in her 20s.

Translated:
The Paris prosecutor's office has opened an investigation for "murder of a minor under the age of 15". Six people were taken into custody, including a woman in her twenties, identified through CCTV footage of the victim's building.

If I had to guess it may be a family member has yet to be informed of the child's passing, but I don't know much about the policing methods of france...

Horrible case and poor lass.

I don't think Lola is her real name.

Edit- Actually it looks like it might be or a nickname

Explains a bit more about the photo. I'm not sure if Lola is her first name, or if it is a bit like "Jane Doe", for some privacy.

Her mother reported her missing and her father worked at the building she was last seen at.
