ATLANTA, GA – Homicide Investigation

• Victim: Alexis J. Harlow, 29
• Date/Time: Wednesday, 11:30 a.m. (Aug. 13)
• Location: 2084 Campbellton Road SW
• Alexis was found naked and shot multiple times inside of a storage unit.
• Witnesses reported she had been living in the building/storage unit for the past few months
• APD homicide detectives canvassed the area, spoke with witnesses, and reviewed nearby surveillance cameras.
• $5,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest of the killer.

August 13, 2025; approx. 11:30 a.m

Atlanta police said officers were called to 2084 Campbellton Road SW after receiving a 911 call regarding a woman found dead.

A nearby worker, taking out the trash described hearing another man screaming,—

“I poke my head around .. and see him crouched down on the ground, knees to his head, just screaming, He said, ‘There’s a dead body back there, there’s a dead body back there.’ ”

Those who live in the area said the victim had been in the area only a few months and was known to people nearby.

In fact, a man showed up at the scene Wed. evening and said that he's lived in the area for more than two decades. Additionally, he said he knew the victim and that she'd been staying inside the storage unit where her body was found.

Atlanta Police are urging anyone with information to call Atlanta police or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS (8477).

I’ve a friend who camped in a storage unit for a bit and said that it was pretty sketchy so I wouldnt be surprised at whatever this outcome is. Since she was known in the neighborhood there were several people who knew where she would be.

Officers responded to the 2000 block of Campbellton Road on Aug. 13. after reports of an unresponsive person. Upon arrival, police say 29-year-old Alexis J. Harlow was found dead inside a storage unit.

Police say Harlow was shot multiple times and believe she was dead for at least 24 hours.

Reginald Elliot faces charges of aggravated assault, tampering with evidence and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Reginald Elliot, 20, stands accused of murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and tampering with evidence, according to the Atlanta Police Department.

On Aug. 13, police received a 911 call that led them to a storage unit on Campbellton Road Southwest – located directly behind a local grocery store, which is currently in the process of being renovated.

Inside the unit, responding officers found the body of Alexis Jane Harlow, 29. The woman was naked with multiple gunshot wounds.

Harlow is said to have been known to those who lived and worked in the area, according to WXIA. She had been staying in the storage unit for a few months and was often seen walking through the business plaza, witnesses told the TV station.

The defendant was already in custody at the time he was connected to Harlow's murder.

On Aug. 27, Elliot was arrested on counts of carrying weapons within school safety zones, at school functions, or on school property, possession of a firearm during the commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies, and a drug-related charge, jail records show.

Investigators used surveillance footage and shell casings to connect Elliot to the murder, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
