Agreed. A lot of layers and other things when it pertains to her previous relationship.

I think LE know more than they are saying but have hit a dead end on proof. They have to know whether she actually cancelled her cell plan a month after she was last seen on land and last posted to SM- Or, did it get turned off for non payment.

And where did it last ping?

We don't have that info, but they must have it, right? So frustrating.
Right, the cell data if it exists at all, must not be helpful. At least as a standalone piece of evidence.

The problem as I see it is, the captain can say they exited the boat. I know nothing about maritime rules, but if you enter a port or dock there is a record right? But if he said, a boat picked her up offshore and he never saw them again. Could you prove he was lying about that?

This is where I think the FBI is currently and where their investigation has stalled. Maybe by putting this in the eyes of the public and asking for tips, they are actually trying to eliminate the possibility that happened. FBI asked, no one came forward. I’m obviously spit balling, but it sort of makes sense.

Still puzzled at the lack of updates in this case.

Still nothing?

So the boat captain told the FBI "the family got seasick and departed his vessel by unknown means, possibly another vessel" -- how does the boat captain not know how the family left the vessel? Unless the captain was sleeping and the family left while the boat was docked at a port somewhere, I struggle to understand how the captain wouldn't know how/where the family left? And if that was the case, would the captain not have found it weird that the 3 passengers just left? And if the family left the boat because they were seasick, why would they then get on a different boat?
The captain having citizens on the boat, shouldn't they be under his protection being at sea and on his boat? It appears that Abigail was hiding from someone, that's why she chose to be off the grid and at sea it's the easiest way. If the "seasick" scenario is true, then Abigail would need to leave the land ASAP to have her children go through this ordeal. One year on a boat with God knows what natural phenomena... IF they were feeling seasick and wanted to leave, with which and who's vessel did they depart? How this person got contacted to go to their rescue? And why the captain of the boat did not take them out to land to care for them?

They should hang their missing-flyers in marina’s & post it in facebook groups for travelers by boat. That’s a tight community, taking care each other. 2 small kids living on a boat are noticable.

Abigail didn’t live a mainstream lifestyle to begin with. When relationship and custody issues arose, her solution was to take the boys and escape by going on this boat with a man she knew for five minutes.

The boat captain tells a story that is difficult to swallow, but I suppose it could be true. The difficulty is, Abigail would be off grid by choice. She doesn’t want to be found and is hiding the boys.

LE is trying to determine if she and the boys are alive and well or if foul play has occurred. Evidently this is proving to be a difficult task for them.

Honestly, at this point, foul play must be the answer?

The islands are not infinite...but the ocean is. What really bothers me is not one friend or family member has stated anything, or even alluded to them being missing, for years now. So either they know she is safe....or simply don't care about the kids or her?

Foul play makes sense, I agree. But we can't rule out that she took the boys and went off-grid, in order not to lose custody of them.

Checked the FBI website and MSM, no updates.

Anyone think it's possible the boat captain simply helped her escape the country? Abigail is supposedly a sovereign citizen type of gal. Offgrid to the degree the kids don't have birth certificates.

I think that's exactly what happened. She was escaping a violent ex.

For someone of her belief system, that would be the perfect solution - wouldn’t it. Better than a foul play scenario for sure.

Maybe that was part of it, but I don't think she has remained missing because of that, imo.

I think she was drawn to what she thought was a free-spirit lifestyle and to giving the kids an opportunity to see the world - and something went terribly wrong.

I don't believe they left the boat without the captain knowing where, when, or how.

I hope I'm wrong, of course.

Not sure if this is allowed, but since SL has been named a POI, but it appears as if he currently has a warrant. I googled his name using the information from his missing flyer and came across a PDF of wanted individuals and it appears to be him.

Very interesting, thanks for finding this! I knew he previously lived in Idaho before moving to Hawaii. What’s not clear is when and who the charges are related too? Had he moved back to Idaho or is this related to his past life there?

What’s interesting is he befriended Abigail, who is much younger than him - with two little boys. How often do we see this with predators? Groomers love scenerios like hers.

My thoughts are all hypothetical and are not intended to directly accuse anyone. Simply looking at circumstances and possibilities which are all public record.

Oh man. This is the captain in charge of the boat they were last seen leaving on. He says they got off the boat somewhere through some unknown means because of seasickness.
