The child had suffered "substantial swelling and bleeding" about her scalp and face, plus skull fractures and hemorrhaging, according to the release. The child later died from her injuries. Corbin was arrested and charged with murder, according to police.

Child abuse pediatrician Melissa Carrie said the child's injuries were "the worst she has seen in her career," court records show. The girl died Thursday and the arrest citation says Corbin "intentionally acted in a manner that resulted in the death."

He was apparently left in charge of a 3 year old in addition to the 18 month old. No mention of his relationship with the children or the children's mother. He is being held on $500,000 bond at the Hardin County Detention Center.

It's a shame that what he did to the 18 m/o won't be done to him. (I don't have the right to say that, but I did anyway.)
