I was also moved by Peggy O'Keefe on the stand. She's a mother who has buried two of her children. And had to explain to, and hold up two grieving grandchildren also. I am very thankful that the defense team chose not to cross exam her testimony. They showed respect.

In saying this, I was also taken by surprise when Peggy stated loudly in court that she exclaimed loudly in the hospital corridors " WHAT IS SHE DOING HERE ?" in a menacing tone ....referring to Karen Read...who was her son's girlfriend, who was also grieving.... It just solidified to me....that there was more than likely no love lost when it came to KR and Peggy OK.

Just my two cents...

I’m also glad they did not cross her. She’s definitely been through a lot.

That said I was surprised she testified that the hospital told her Karen Read was there for a psych evaluation when she asked why she was there. I find it hard to believe hospital staff would have violated HIPAA law.

Am I missing something? OK, maybe not perjury as I am hearing, but whatever happened to impeaching a witness. Did the defense not accomplish that?

And the defense twisted KerR's testimony about a lie.

She had no intent to mislead, said KerR.

Please keep facts in order.

Defense (especially Jackson) likes to twist a witness' words up to benefit his client, the defendant and discredit the witness.

Wasn't that intense little discussion with Kerry R. earlier today/trial, about her saying she never heard that asked at all, earlier trial, she said she DID hear it asked by Karen?

Don't forget Kerry R admitted in her testimony today that her and Jen Mccabe got together to go over their timeline. So basically they are cooborating each other's story. Why is the question? Their hiding something and protecting each other. I don't trust anything that comes out of McCabes mouth. Her 7 calls to John shows flirtatious behavior that IMO could have caused a jealous husband to act like Mike Tyson that night.

Having just started to get into the details of this case, I can honestly say I don't know what happened.
There is so much to absorb.
It is troubling to hear Kerry Roberts change her statement, but does it prove Karen's innocence? Not necessarily IMO. What it may prove is reasonable doubt, and that is what really matters.
With your help, those just now starting in on the details will be able to comprehend all the evidence presented. Since many of you have been following the Read case since the beginning, your help is greatly appreciated.

Kerry should be more concerned why her cronies were too busy calling in favors to deflect any spotlight on them and their partying ways so much so that it debilitated the investigation into JOK death to such an extent that no one will truly know what happened and no justice will ever be served.

Out of 3 prosecution witnesses so far, he's completely discredited 2 of them (and he didn't cross the 3rd). I'd say it's definitely working in his (and his client's) favor.

It was a very condescending tone. Re: “what is she doing here”. My response to that would be ‘why wouldn’t she be here’? They are dating and in an exclusive relationship. She was in John’s house.

It’s apparent from that statement that Peggy didn’t approve of KR.
