MI, Grand Blanc - Mass Shooting at Mormon Church, fire, 28 Sept 2025

I read and watch true crime constantly, and this is one of the worst things I've ever seen.

They are all horrible.
People are at danger to go to movies, to shop, to attend sports events, to listen to their speakers or candidates, to send children to schools, now churches are off-limits. What is it?

Very sorry for the victims and their families. Churches are small and have no money to expand, so I can imagine how bad it was.

Odd because the photo doesn't show the truck crashed into a door, it looks like a window.

This is horrific. :(
Possibly not a picture from this incident? MOO

Is the Agenda Free YT channel an approved source here? He's following/reporting live.
Here is a local Fox station that is broadcasting live. Press conference is on now.

Five alarm fire

A fire set in the aftermath of the shooting grew to a five-alarm blaze that caused a partial collapse of the structure, according to law enforcement officials. Just before 1 p.m., authorities said the fire had been extinguished

That fire looks massive. I am curious what he used to start this fire.

Who took the shooter down or did he finish himself off?

If he was still unaccounted for is that possbly why the fire was able to grow becuase typically the fire department wants for LE to secure the scene or to confirm the threat is gone before they advance in.

Truly awful to think of people hiding from a shooter and then dying in a fire. :(

From the presser: officers took the shooter down.

My first thought was yesterday's loss of their leader.

Is that related or not? I'll await more info as I'm just hearing about the shooting.

I don't know if it's related but it could be that the recent loss of their leader meant more people were in attendance today at the temple.

Witness Brian Taylor said churchgoers thought someone had accidentally hit the building at first. He said church started at 10 a.m. and the service was happening when there was a loud noise and a crack in the chapel wall.

"We heard a large, just a large bang," he said.

Taylor said churchgoers went outside to help, but soon realized it wasn't an accident. He described seeing a man he did not recognize driving a truck armed with a rifle before the shooting started.

As Taylor and his wife tried to drive away, he said the suspect shot at their vehicle, causing their windshield to shatter. Taylor suffered a hand injury from shrapnel.

It seems like he hit the building, not the front door. Unless he did both? The photo looks like the side of the chuch, perhaps behind the altar? (I don't know how LDS church interiors are set up.)

Agenda Free TV is approved for this story only. However, if it becomes political, we will rescind our approval.

The gunman, identified only as a 40-year-old Burton man, was fatally shot after exchanging gunfire with Grand Blanc Township police.

Police plan to provide additional information at a 5 p.m. press conference on Sunday.

Per CNN some victims are children.

Horrifying.

I wonder if the gunman left behind a note or even a manifesto…

From the google street view, the area where the truck is in the image, is the front of the building that you can see from the road.

Unless his name comes out first (and it likely will), all his SM will be scrubbed before the next presser.

I'm shocked by this horrific tragedy. My thoughts and prayers are with all the victims who have died, the injured and everyone who was in the church and their loved ones. I can't imagine what they and the first responders are going through.
