I'm so sorry to hear this - he had so many people who cared about him. Rest in Peace Jacob.

I was so, so, hopeful that this was going to have a happy ending.

As a Michigander and also a mom of a Jacob, this case really tugged at all my heart strings.

I hope the family gets all the answers they’re looking for.

I wish they would just be honest and say "we could comment but we refuse to do so because even though we don't have any idea what we are doing and LE hardly ever solves missing persons cases we still think we are better than you and will pretend like we know things and we're doing work until you go plebs go away."

I am assuming they are not commenting further because perhaps the outcome was self-harm and LE is sensitive to the family. Perhaps, in fact, LE does know more than we do and are handling the situation professionally. My opinion

Perhaps they’re not commenting any further because they’re mindful of what the family is going through at the moment. LE stated his death does not seem to involve foul play, and I don’t think they owe the public any additional info unless they choose to. JMO

Mom had long-standing plans to go to the festival with a friend. Jacob decided to also go; but not go WITH his mom and her friend. They eventually ran into each other and that’s when the photo was taken.

JA's vehicle was found about 155 miles north of Holly where the Renaissance Festival is held. According to reports, JA's remains were located in a wooded area not far from the Jeep.

I have been unable to find the exact place where Jacob or his vehicle were found. If anyone has specifics I am nearby and can go take pictures or whatever else might be interesting/helpful to the group.

So many heartfelt and cool messages left in the online guestbook, hoping his family can find some comfort in those kind notes.

Hopefully this case will come to mind in the future when people are otherwise inclined to make comments about unlikely a person is commit suicide because he was active and making plans and seemingly so happy just before the suicide.

Its pretty clear to me that logic doesn't apply to suicide. IMO
