Detroit police are looking for three missing young children and their mother.

Around 9 a.m. Monday, in the 6400 of Abington, a man reported his three children, ages 3, 4 and 5, missing.

The father said he allowed his children's mother, Anita Rose Bryant, to watch their children while he went to work at 11 p.m. When he returned home at 9 a.m., he found his children and their mother gone.

Police say the father is concerned because he made several attempts to contact her with no success.

The children's names and description are below:

  • Omar Muhsen – age 3, 2’5”, 30lbs, brown eyes and hair.
  • Jihad Muhsen – age 4, 2’10”, 35lbs, brown eyes and hair.
  • Zaidan Muhsen – age 5, 3’, 40lbs, brown eyes and hair.
Their mother is described as a 31-year-old woman who is 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 100 pounds.

If anyone has seen the children or Bryant, they are asked to call DPD's Sixth Precinct at 313-596-5600.

Very interesting. In MOO, speculating they might be separated and maybe he had custody? May explain "allowed" statement?
Her fb status tells "separated"

Btw she is updating and saying safe

Hmm I wonder if she did in fact ran away in the middle of the night, without his "knowledge/permission"? Or she left earlier and was "allowed?" to look after the kids for the night.
Ugh, I just hope the police can confirm she is safe.

She has posted about who she is with and so has that person. I wish they wouldn’t put that out there on FB, but just tell LE. If this is a DV situation it could get dangerous.

Serious question, is "Jihad" a legit name?

Sadly you can name your kid ANYTHING you want. Believe me, as a former NICU nurse - I've seen some doozies.

Yes, this is a legit Arabic name. Used by Christians and Muslims alike in the Middle East.

jihad | Meaning, Examples, & Use in the Quran

Jihad, (Arabic: “struggle” or “effort”) also spelled jehad, in Islam, a meritorious struggle or effort. The exact meaning of the term jihād depends on context; it has often been erroneously translated in the West as “holy war.” Jihad, particularly in the religious and ethical realm, primarily refers to the human struggle to promote what is right and to prevent what is wrong.
