Police are hoping the public can help in the search for a woman who has been missing since July
Kathy Sue Wilson’s husband expected her to come home July 12 from a trip to her parents' house in Greenwood. But Wilson never arrived either at her Lincolnton home or at her parents’ house. On July 9 Kathy Wilson 38 got in the couple’s light-blue Dodge Caravan intending to drive to Greenwood, her husband told police. She was expected to return later that week. The van was found in Catawba County in a convenience store parking lot on July 16. Investigators have found no evidence of a crime.

LINCOLNTON — Kathy Sue Wilson’s husband expected her to come home July 12 from a trip to her parents’ house in Greenwood SC But Kathy Wilson never arrived either at her Lincolnton home or at her parents’ house And her disappearance has stymied the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department for eight months “We have not had a single lead as to where she would be” said Detective Teresa Bryant “It’s like she’s just disappeared off the face of the earth” On July 9 Kathy Wilson got in the couple’s light-blue Dodge Caravan intending to drive to Greenwood her husband told police It was a Tuesday She was expected to return Friday When she didn’t K W called her parents’ home But her mother said that Kathy Wilson had never arrived and that she hadn’t even been expected in the first place K W called police The van was found in Catawba County in a convenience store parking lot on July 16 Bryant said she’s found no evidence of a crime She has interviewed several people who know Kathy Wilson including her husband “At this point in time all I’ve got is a missing-persons case”

Lincolnton NC to Greenwood, SC is ~ 135 miles.
