Dune buggy riders found her body in a desert area southeast of Sahara and Hollywood.
We talked with her mother Cheryl back in 2009.
"I believe that this case is going to be solved, that's why I don't let it go into the dust," Cheryl Holliday said.''
Police said Gina's hands were tied and there was obvious trauma to her head.
She was last seen alive at the Hamptons Apartment when she visited her two-year-old son who was with his father.
Her 1996 Cadillac was found on Dolly Lane near Carey and Lamb.
"You don't do a dog like this. Nothing constitutes giving anybody the right to take somebody's life in the manner that Gina's life was taken away," Cheryl said.
Cheryl raised a $10,000 reward for answers in her daughter's case.'

A Las Vegas teen killed in a one-car accident Tuesday has been identified as 16-year-old Steven Sanchez.

Gina Holliday was found with her hands tied and multiple gunshot wounds southeast of Sahara Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard on Feb. 1, 2001, homicide unit Sgt. Kevin Manning said.

Holliday was last seen by her 2-year-old son's father when she dropped the child off for a visit. Holliday was driving a green, 1986 Cadillac when she dropped off her son. The car was later recovered at an apartment complex near Lake Mead and Lamb boulevards.
The Cadillac was found stripped of the tires and stereo system, police said.''
