That article reads like a journalist making it up as they go along. Are we to believe that the Police are out there searching for a random drug supplier of an unknown substance without any tox screen results even suggesting what this girl might have taken?

There are actual sourced quotes in the article, so I doubt the reporter is just making it up. It's possible the police sources are just bloviating.

However, if there was drug residue left over, then they probably do know what she took. Maybe not to a legal standard, but they do have drug testing kits that get instant results.

Also, if she had a regular dealer, then there are multiple ways the cops could follow up on that, like talking to the boyfriend or following a money trail. They don't need to wait for the tox screen for that.

So they don't have tox results, they think a powdery substance remained in place overnight in the open air in a breezy marina, they haven't tested this powder yet (although it can be analyzed pretty quickly), and they don't know if she took any drugs or her cause of death. But somehow this will lead them to the seller of the unknown drug that she might not have taken and may not be the cause of her death, despite there not having been group ODs reported out there all summer (last one was in Coram, about 60 miles away, in July), as there have been in past summers. NYP really grasping at straws here.

IMO, the actions of the "business partner" are quite sus to say the least.
So the 60-year old rich guy just happens to be alone on a boat with a young woman who accidentally dies from a drug overdose while he is naked. Yeah. Happens.

I am with you, this sounds highly suspicious, she had phoned her fiancée or boyfriend saying she had called an uber & would be home shortly. Perhaps someone misconstrued a business relationship & got angry perhaps? Is there a way to have no visible violence "on the body" as reported, but is there a way of maybe in the body? Of course, the most likely reason is an accidental overdose, but I am not buying it or anything just yet.

I was intrigued on the term “histological” & what does that mean? I have never seen that term used before.
