Bumping for the Doe! Even if her name isn't released, I'm glad to know that she's been identified.

I don’t want to link the site incase it’s against TOS, but there is a photo of a booking of a woman in 1999 in Illinois. Was that her? Born 1980? Name is exact and says she was originally from Wallkill NY

If so, that mugshot is from 8 months before her passing. But I understand why the family wouldn’t want her to be remembered that way.

Family separation is linked to a lot of young John and Jane Does. I really wish there were ways to strengthen family unification post foster care in some way

I looked up the photo and wow the ears and height are exactly the same.

Agree. They indicated on the link you and MFleish posted that "Unfortunately, Alexa’s sisters do not have any photos of her as an adult, but for Linda and Veronica, they want the world to remember Alexa like they do: smiling, bright-eyed and happy."

Great work to Intermountain for collecting the DNA sample.

I googled the mugshot. Considering how badly she was decomposed, the NCMEC reconstruction is REALLY good. They got her facial features, race, build, and even eyes accurate. Only difference is that her hairs was lighter and dreaded in real life.

Considering the hair in the recon is short and not dreaded, I wonder if she had cut out the dreads sometime following the arrest and before her death. I would think dreads would hold up to water and be distinctive enough to include in a recreation.

I would argue the only other thing that steered folks in the wrong direction was the implication of a somewhat medium/olive skin tone. She appears to be fully Caucasian. Please correct me if I’m wrong.
