This area is expecting some rough weather. Hope they can find him, and find him safe, although I'm not optimistic.

Peggy Morrison, Jack Morrison’s wife, says on Sunday he got into his pickup and took off to look for his dog Salty.

She says Jack Morrison hasn’t driven for a long time so it shocked her.

[...]

“Everyone went out that night and looked for him,” said Peggy Morrison. “The fire department, the police department, individuals went out and drove for hours looking for him and they’ve supported us as a family.”

[...]

The Beaver County Sheriff’s office is working to determine the direction of travel Jack Morrison took after he continued south at Booker.

Officials are asking any businesses in the area to please check video footage for any sign of Jack Morrison or his truck, a 2000 maroon Dodge Dakota.

This is pretty local to me. Unless someone took him in, I doubt he is still alive. We just had 3-4 days of temperatures that did not get above 20 all day and windchills of -10. I am worried for him.

"Miracles happen every day," said Sheriff Reuben Parker. "That's kind of what we're hoping for."

Parker said they conducted three aerial searches for Morrison.

Deputies in Beaver County<<> Oklahoma, and Ochiltree and Lipscomb counties in Texas, have conducted searches.

Residents have even searched for him, according to Parker.

Morrison's truck was spotted by security cameras on Jan. 7 at three places in Booker. But Parker said there have been no sightings since.

That poor family. I went through the dementia driving thing with my elderly fathr, he didn't drive for months, and then only to the store 2 blocks away (he had a live in home health aid that as part of the contract would take him shopping or to the doctor, plus the church van that would take him to services and outings). Then one day he just took off, picked up a hitchiker and drove 360 miles to Seattle, on the freeway, then didn't know where he was at. The hitchiker was just a college kid needing a ride, and no harm there, but it could have ended up much differently.

The wife of an elderly man with dementia, missing for two weeks, is pleading for help to find him.

"Help me get him home," said PM.

[...]

"Jack hasn't driven in several years due to dementia," said PM. "He has been gone through the blizzard and sub zero temps. We are asking everyone to be on the lookout for him."

I think everyone is assuming he will be found in some field come spring….or the lake (though temps are warming up these next few days so maybe that;l help?).

Beaver Police Chief John Kiley, who saw Jack that morning for breakfast, said the search will not stop anytime soon.

“Everybody out here is friendly, and you get along with everybody, so everyone was out looking,” said Kiley.

[...]

Police even drove to Oklahoma City, where Jack is from, hoping to find him there.

“Every time I go to a place, I go a different route so I can check the road and ditches and stuff like to maybe see his vehicle,” said Kiley.

Is there any foul play suspected?

No. Locally nothing has been said about foul play. From what I have seen/heard, everyone is blaming 'whatever' happened on dementia.
