The trail of an elderly man missing for three weeks and counting went cold in Pampa.

[...]

His wife Peggy said investigators found evidence that Jack and his truck were seen headed east on Hwy 60 into Pampa around 8:30 that night.

[...]

The trail previously went cold in Booker.

The wife of Morrison provided an update on Facebook, saying that he and his truck had been tracked entering Pampa the day he went missing on Jan. 7 at 8:30 p.m., from the east on US Highway 60.

His direction of travel is unknown at this time.

Officials are asking businesses in the area to check their cameras for possible sightings.

Depending on which way he went from Pampa, he very well could have ended up in Lake Meredith. Pampa, for those who aren't local, is a pretty rough town. Drugs are a huge problem.

He's been found dead.

Around 2:45 p.m. today, Beaver County Sheriff Reuben Parker, Jr. was notified by the Ellis County Sheriff that Jack Morrison had been found around 15 miles south of Shattuck, Oklahoma.

Sad to hear the news. But I think that the majority of us here knew he wouldn't be found alive. Especially after all of this time and the extremely cold weather we had.

I hope eventually we will get updated information on the circumstances of his final location. I mean was it down an old dirt country road, in water somewhere, crashed in to a group of trees and bushes etc. Because surely he wasn't parked in say a Walmart parking lot and deceased all this time. Rest peacefully Jack.
P.S. was his little dog ever found?

No. Locally nothing has been said about foul play. From what I have seen/heard, everyone is blaming 'whatever' happened on dementia.
imo, most likely a combination of the dementia, diabetes, copd and possibly weather conditions. Such a heartbreaking outcome.
