Seen on a security video walking in the Texas Housing Tract, Simi Valley, CA, on the day she went missing.

Link to Facebook page, "Help Me Find My Mom," started by her daughters:

Good article from August 22, 2025. It is digital, and text won't copy.

She moved to Simi Valley in late 2024 to be near her two daughters and to help with her grandchildren. Her second grandchild was born after she went missing.

She has no known cognitive or mental health issues.

Her family has been searching daily with the help of volunteers, including Simi Valley Hikers and Ventura County East Valley Search & Rescue. Simi Valley Police Department has finally assigned a detective to her case. Future searches are being coordinated by Simi Valley PD and Ventura County Sheriff's Office.

The day she went missing, she is seen on security cameras in the Texas Tract, walking up one street and down another. It was a very hot day, and she may have been disoriented and distressed. Her daughters are desperately trying to locate footage from security cameras, dashcams, etc, that might show how she left the area -- if she was still on foot or if someone gave her a ride.

There's been no mainstream media coverage of her disappearance until a couple days ago with the exception of a local community news which had a FB article two days after she went missing and another piece covering it a month later. Simi Valley Acorn - Simi's Favorite Weekly Newspaper She looks very fit physically to me, like she regulary walks or works out. The heat though, can affect even the fit, especially when they're older. But the high that day was only 83, warm, certainly, but not what I'd think of as being hot enough to cause disorientation unless one became dehydrated. She may have had an underlying medical issue. Something had her in distress. https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/simi-valley/93065/july-weather/337251

Her daughters concluded that she got lost, as she was walking in circles through an unknown (to her) neighborhood. How come nobody was there/home she could ask for directions?

Because she didn't have a known medical condition, the search for her was delayed, which is tragic. A month later, footage from many security cameras might get deleted before it could be checked.

At 65 you don't have to have a "known medical condition" to have a medical event. I've known people in that age group, seemingly healthy, that have had cardiac events, mini strokes, and issues related to blood sugar they'd never experienced before.

I have been retained in the missing persons case of Raushan Aitpayeva who has been missing from Simi Valley, CA since July 11th. Ventura County search and rescue ground and air units have worked this case but stood down a few weeks ago. I will continue the search starting tomorrow in targeted areas of the hills near her last known location.
