Concern is growing for a 34-year-old woman who has been missing since leaving her home in the early hours, police say.

Rebecca Lyes, from Worcester, left her home at about 01:00 BST on Sunday. She was last seen on CCTV on London Road, Worcester at about 01:15 BST.

Ms Lyes is described as a white woman, of slim build, around 5ft 6" tall with shoulder-length dark hair. She has a distinctive tattoo of a human heart on the inside of her arm.

She may be travelling with a black suitcase and a white backpack and she has links to Malvern and Stratford-upon-Avon.
Insp Ben Albutt from West Mercia Police said "Rebecca's family and police are growing increasing concerned for her welfare. We would urge anyone who thinks they may have seen her to get in touch."

Sounds like she's packed up and left for some reason. Hope she is found safe and just needed to get away for a while

There has to be more to this story right? I feel like for her to be reported missing on the day she left her house, and for police to make an appeal for information also on the same day, there must be something else not reported on that’s causing concern. Particularly since theres cctv of her hauling luggage, you’d think there’s nothing too worrying about this.

I wonder if she’s classed as a vulnerable person. The ‘Missing Persons’ went out pretty quickly.

Agreed, this is very strange.

It's an odd time to be setting off somewhere with luggage. At 1am there isn't going to be much public transport available. Makes me feel like she was walking to wherever she was going, and perhaps was expected, but didn't arrive?

Is it also a little odd to vanish from that main road? I don't know the area but on googlemaps it looks like an A road through the centre of a town. It goes over a railway bridge and there are various turnings off it. But that CCTV image looks like it's from the centre of town, which (again) from googlemaps looks like it is at the River end of the A44.

Maybe she was picked up by a vehicle out of sight of CCTV?

I’m by no means certain, but I think the CCTV might be her passing the NatWest. Heading away from the Foregate Street train station. I haven’t checked what time the last trains are, but it’s possible she missed the last train somewhere?? (Pure speculation on my part!)

Good shout.
Natwest address is, 1 The Cross, Worcester WR1 3PR, from Google maps and pics it's looks the same as the ATM in the CCTV footage, same brickwork and post box (the black bit at the bottom)

So possibly missed a train,or decided not to take the train, or just mere coincidence she was near the station.
