HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A fisherman who discovered Mica Miller’s belongings shortly after her April 27 suicide at Lumber River State Park was reportedly killed in a car wreck on Friday night.

Johnnie Jacobs’ vehicle was T-boned around 7:30 p.m. after being struck by another motorist that failed to yield for a stop sign, according to a post on X by NewsNation correspondent Rich McHugh.

News13 has reached out to the North Carolina Highway Patrol for more information.

Jacobs spoke with News13 on May 9, saying Miller’s death “changed my life.”

According to a facebook post by his sister, Johnnie Jacobs, the fisherman who found Mica Miller’s belongings, was killed in a car crash last night. Lots of questions. Will update as I get more info.

Horry County Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard said in an email Friday that the coroner’s office and Myrtle Beach Police have been contacted with “new evidence regarding the manner of death” in the case of Christopher Skinner.

A week before his death Christopher Skinner had gone to JP and told him to leave his wife and kids alone.

According to reports, earlier on the morning of Chris’ death he asked a neighbor to unlock the pool gate and let him in as he was expecting to meet someone to play chess.

Cameras showed Chris in his wheelchair at the pool area. At 7:56 a.m. EDT, he’s seen stopping around a curve before suddenly and quickly going toward and into the pool.

So is the implication that Chris committed suicide or is there suspicion that someone off camera shoved the wheelchair? Did someone monkey with the wheelchair brakes?

Seems like a stretch but it’s good that Chris’ death is getting a second look.
