Seeing Chinese Letters/Characters

Some threads are showing up as Chinese letters/characters for me. Is this a glitch with the website or a problem on my end? If on my end, any idea how to fix it?

Happens occasionally. It's a foreign language spammer.

It just looks to me like the website is being massive spammed.

I tend to click on the "Latest Replies" tab when this happens. It seems to filter out most of it.

If you put the poster of the thread on ignore - problem solved!
ETA: I tend to hit "new posts" and I don't see them. They are still on the sidebar.

They show up on New Posts until they get deleted or someone else posts on that thread.

I see them only in New Posts. And in the sidebar. If I hit Missing Discussion, there are none, but still in the sidebar. I thought we were being inundated with missing people etc in China. (Today is not the first time for this.)

I'm currently seeing them on the sidebar. I've never noticed it before -- thanks for confirming it's not me.

I noticed that the bots were back a couple of hours ago. Mods appear to be working to clear them, only to have them return.

I noticed it on over half of the new posts a couple weeks ago. It was bad. But I haven’t seen the problem again since. Strange
