This poor little girl. I have no idea why I still get surprised that such disgusting evil just walks freely around the world. I hope she is alive and they find her quickly. No child should ever be in that situation.

The mother of a six-year-old girl missing in South Africa since 19 February has been charged with human trafficking and kidnapping.

Kelly Smith was charged along with her boyfriend, Jacquen Appollis, and two others, following their arrest.

******
The prosecution alleges that Ms Smith instructed Mr Appollis and another of the accused, Stefano van Rhyn, to sell Joslin to a traditional healer for 20,000 rand ($1,000; £835), the privately owned Citizen newspaper reports.

What a beautiful little girl. There’s a special place in hell for these people

I hope for the best while preparing my heart for what has probably happened to this sweet little angel. No one was there to protect her.

Reminds me of the Shaniya Davis case :(

I'm going to continue to hope until it's proven otherwise. I wish unspeakable horrors be inflicted on the egg donor and anyone else involved in what happened to Joslin.

Yes, it does. However, in South Africa, they say this mother sold her child to "a traditional healer". As I understand it, this could possibly mean she was sold so her organs can be sold on the black market??

I can't get this little girl out of my head? How can you sell your child? Especially if you know harm will be done to them. Ugh.

The search for Joshlin Smith (6) has gone international, as Police Minister Bheki Cele confirmed on Wednesday that they have started working with Interpol to locate Joshlin.

Pieces of clothing that were found on Saturday, 30 March 2024 were ‘taken for DNA testing’, but were not positively linked to Joshlin, according to IOL.

TY, from link, keeping the pic in the public eye on the chance Joslin is spotted in a seized photo or video.

On Monday, angry Saldanha Bay residents had gathered outside the Vredenburg Magistrate’s court, expressing their frustration as proceedings were postponed once again, and the fact that there has been no progress in finding the still-missing six-year-old.

Joshlin vanished without a trace on February 19 from her Diazville home in Saldanha Bay

It is alleged that they had sold the Grade 1 learner for R20,000.
