Maybe he resisted more? Does anyone have a feel for the order in which the victims arrived?
Well from what I saw it was the Traverse, the Charger, the rental (Rogue), then Matthews truck

Matthew showed up a bit later to the scene so I wonder if that was by design as being the only adult male killed he might put up more of a fight. Or perhaps Matthew saw something on arriving that set him on defense and it took much more effort/shots to kill him than the others.

Thank you! Today has used a lot of my braincells. So perhaps Matthew arrived, realized something was wrong and he did not stand meekly to be killed.

Great thoughts on this.

So Brown picked up AD and the baby at bikini bottoms where AD had driven MW's truck and dumped it. Then Brown went to get cleaning supplies for AD. Brown's girlfriend meanwhile, had rented the Nisan for AD the day BEFORE the murders (the 28th) and arranged for it to be picked up around noon on the 29th.

Total premeditation as was having all of his intended victims meet him in an out of the way location the morning they were all killed. TBI has done a hell of a job building this case and gathering the digital evidence.

And the baby is believed to have been in the Nissan with AD when he traveled BACK to the murder scene to clean up. Jesus wept this is awful.

all the defense could come up with is yeah, he was there, yeah he had the baby for a while, but you can't prove he is the one who used the cell phone at the scene and you can't prove he ever fired a weapon.

judge, of course, ruled there was plenty of probable cause.

last little tidbit that came out today. Kaitlyn Speed does indeed very much wish to speak to Austin.

Prosecutors said she contacted the state directly to request to be able to speak to AD. State argued against allowing it since she will likely be a witness in this case. Judge ruled she can speak with Drummond's family but not with Drummond. (from the Fox13 link I provided above.

And where did the disdain for Matthew come from?
Why was he shot so many times... The rage that he must have had.
We know he is not a logical thinker so I am in no way saying Matthew did anything wrong.
Just want to know why he took so much rage out on him.

Agree -- this was, at least in part, pretty clearly a rage killing.

The 11 shots to kill M (and the sparing of an infant) seem to me to echo the Rhoden family murders.

Not so much the planning or coverup. AD is clearly an impulsive criminal (and now alleged vicious killer) not known for his cleverness or even cunning, but he might as well have hired a plane to skywrite his name and I DID IT!!! Doubt they'd have gotten to him any sooner.

This is a tough one to follow for sure.

I will be able to watch the hearing soon but is there a clear CCTV photo of Austin driving Matts truck after the killings?

And from everyones updates it seems they still didn't speak on motive?

And now a gag order is in place.

Video from Walmart on the 28th showed the victims purchased the burlap used to hide the bodies and the cell phone. BW was seen making those purchases ( I hope I heard that right?). That cell phone was used to call gio thomas who in turn put brown into a three way with AD.

Said it before, I wish Wal Mart would save everybody the trouble, put all the crime stuff in one aisle. And then livestream that aisle directly to LE.

This crime is as awful as it is brazen.

Massive digital evidence will bring them down, little consolation however for the outrageous loss of life.

So sad. Did Brayden not wonder why he was buying camo burlap?
Did they say whether they have recovered the murder weapon.

The fact that he contacted Tanaka and Giovante within minutes of the murders occurring suggests very strongly to me that they knew prior to them occurring that they were going to happen.

I have so many questions but the pressing one is why was Matt shot so many times and the others just executed.

To shoot the other 3 in the head he would have had to be in pretty close proximity to them.

Did Matt try to run and that's why he was shot so many times because AD had a terrible aim. Cant imagine him having had much target practice while locked up for 13 years.

Another one is it was said in the hearing that LE had heard from family that they were dropping drugs into the prison. Which family member told LE this?

And weren't the females shot in the front of the head, while Brayden was shot in the back of the head? He wanted the ladies to know that it was him, looking straight at them IMO.

Yes or maybe he couldn't actually look Brayden in the eye while doing it given he was executing a child 😢

Just further to this, Brayden was shot in the back of the head but was found laying on his back. That means he wasn't killed where he was laying or he would have fallen frontwards not backwards.

They also found a bloody shoe on each side of the road. When did these shoes come off the victims

I believe they were most likely all dragged to where they were found. (they were stacked)
Just from what I heard. Shoes could have come off if someone was dragging under their armpits with feet extended. JMO

This was the key takeaway from the preliminary hearing for me.
My original theory was that the victims were involved in the business of drone dropping contraband into the prison, as the murder scene is just a few minutes away from Northwest correctional facility, and each of the victims appear to have attended the location willingly in their own vehicles (at 6 in the morning no less)

It is interesting that AD had earlier asked one of the victims to purchase a burner phone, camouflage tarps and cleaning supplies which were used during the murder. This suggests premeditation rather than a spur of the moment snapping.
Although we're still in the dark about AD's reason for wanting these four people dead.

I don't know how exactly but I'm gonna say money.
