It appears that this was pre-planned almost a week in advance. Why is the shooter the only one in custody? It reads as if he had accomplices, persons who helped in the planning. MOO

I read at the above link that she told authorities that her son had lied to them. Good for this Mom for being brave enough to do the difficult, but right, thing.

The heartbreaking aspect of this case is not that a 17 year-old is in jail. He's there by his own choices. The heartbreaking piece is the 30 something victim who did absolutely nothing wrong, and he lost his life anyway.

I can't quit thinking about how casually a 12 year-old discusses killing a man who has been kind to him, who plays video games with him. That text exchange was disgusting.

<sigh> One person dead, for no good reason -- and three others facing life, or some number of months/years. All are lost, and one will never be seen or walk on this earth again.
And for what??? Guns, guns, guns. Many people are affected by this horrible incident. And the he!! of it is, is that there will probably be another senseless and selfish murder, somewhere in this country, before midnight. And very likely, not just one. SMH
