Hopefully, it will be a slam dunk for,Juan. I hope DeMarte's on the stand.

I want DeMarte to be his last witness.

IMO, JA's sentence will be determined by whether or not the jury thinks she's sufficiently mentally ill to be spared the DP. The DT's bash-Travis strategy greatly weakened their presentation of mental illness mitigation.

DeMarte has the opportunity to define JA's mental defects and to explain why they aren't sufficient to explain away a brutal premeditated murder.

It pretty much sounds like the Bishop closed the door on Travis being in the house while Wit#1 was there visiting his girlfriend since the Bishop testified that no other males would be permitted to stay there while the girlfriend was living there. jmo

The DT could say Travis viewed *advertiser censored* as a visitor..but, umm, the Bishop also said nobody ever saw him on the computer. Or they could accuse Travis of pulling a Flores.....of sneaking into the house and onto the computer to watch *advertiser censored*, late at night.

Or, the DT could move along as if the accusation was never made or rebutted. Kind of like what they did with DR.

AZL....what are the rules for the Bishop's attorney in court. He's been included in sidebars. Is he allowed to speak for the Bishop in front of the jury? If so, in what circumstances? TIA

Replying to Curious about Hogan's book...I don't recommend purchasing it. I've posted about most of the little tidbits that were new to me, anyway. There wasn't much there we hadn't heard before and dissected a thousand different ways. What I liked least was how she wove JA's testimony into her chronological narrative, which meant she used JA's word at face value. Ugh.
