Bumping this article up because the description of the clothing is quite different in the article than the description in Namus.

I take it she was wearing a bathing suit under the clothing. The shorts are described as pink in the article and white in namus and the blouse is described as having a distinctive chain design rather than being described as checkered as in the namus listing. Also, the article described many families coming forward fearing it was their child. Now that DNA is so advanced, I'd like to know who those families were and if they'd come forward again with their DNA. I think they should all be recontacted if LE has a list of who they are.

I think we posted a photo of somehing similar; its not a bathing suit but a one piece outfit which to me says more of her being under 5. If we can't find the pic; I have one of me that I can post later on

Yeah, that's pretty much the gist of what I mean, if she was younger. For the prostitution thing I was assuming she was on the older end of the age range. But just because something happens in a conservative state, does not mean it doesn't involve illicit sex.

Also, please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember it having been determined that she had, in fact, been murdered, so I am not sure why "her killer or killers" keep being referenced. Am I missing something?

I received a nice reply from her NamUs case worker. He put a call into her LE to see what they have in terms of photos so cross your fingers & toes

I decided to do a little digging into Arizona 1960 events and found these 2 items:

The Miss Rodeo Arizona contest has been going on for decades. There is a photo of the 1960 winner at the link posted below, so the contest was definitely being held that year. It appears the contest began in 1958-whoever was crowned queen at the "rodeo of rodeos" automatically became Miss Rodeo Arizona. The procedure for determining Miss Rodeo Arizona changed in the early 1980s. Miss RAz also has a competition for "Future Sweethearts of the Rodeo", which is open to girls as young as 5.

The other very interesting thing is that Yavapai County has held a Fourth of July rodeo since the 1880s as part of "Prescott Frontier Days."

LMN was found at the end of July, 1960. Just MOO, but I am thinking LMN and the Fourth of July rodeo are connected in some way.

The rodeo is all I have found so far.

An online pay to view newspaper archive site does not have the Prescott newspaper. A second newspaper archival site stops at the year 1908 and does not go beyond 1908. I am still digging for other events. That far back is probably going to mean looking at newspaper on microfilm at an academic library or a very large public library in AZ that carries the Yavapai county papers. Anyone live in AZ?

There is a college campus, there is part of an Indian reservation, there are parts of 4 national parks and numerous "wilderness areas"; the Hospital for Disabled Miners, and according to Wikipedia, currently

Of the above events, we can eliminate the Easter Egg event, (due to timing) ;Earth Day,Whiskey Off-Road , and Tsunami on the Square as being there in 1960. Still researching the other events to see when they were first held.

The Disabled Miners hospital has been there since 1929.

Prescott is 90 miles from Phoenix. I wonder how far back Phoenix Police Department MP files go.

Granted that's from one site specifically, but it would seem to indicate that is probably not the case. That wouldn't consider things like the dark web though, where you would find child *advertiser censored*, etc. However, I doubt that would vary much state to state, but more by population size.

I read the entire thread and was surprised I didn't see any reference to her cut flops as a sign of abduction. My friend worked at Disney, and they were trained to ask parents of lost lid what shoes the kid was wearing. Why? Hair can be cut and colored by a kidnapper, and clothes can be brought by them in the size they're intending on abducting. Shoes are hard to guess, and most kidnappers change everything possible but for the shoes. Cases were reported as example, and one girl was already dressed as a boy with her hair cut and colored on her way out of the park with the kidnapper, but still in her own shoes. The park officials caught her from the shoes.

The fact that her shoes were not only flips cut to fit, but were duct taped on, give me bad vibes. Combine that with the colored hair and fingernails? This just screams abduction to me.

Why would someone go to such lengths to get a kid and hide their identity before killing them? Server their purpose already. Molested. Done.

My guess is she was from nowhere near Arizona, and was reported as missing. Either the records weren't as good and got lost over time, or she's from further away than checked thus far.

I've been in touch with a film buff/historian who has contacts with Jane Withers, the star of the 1936 Little Miss Nobody film. Asked them to ask Jane if she knew of the connection between her film and the naming of our unknown todddler and if Jane would be interested in lending her celebrity to the 1960 LMN's cause.

Was just looking at her profile, Height (inches) 42, Measured - Weight (pounds) 55, Estimated. My 3 year old grandson is very tall for his age, he's 41.9 inches and 46.6 pounds. I still do not think LMN was 6 to 7 years old, I think 4 to 5 is more accurate.

Someone found a little girl named Sharon Lee Gallegos while reading about Little Miss Nobody. I'm surprised we never saw any of the articles she's mentioned in. This is not my find, I'm just entering her in NamUs.

One of my pet cases is UP #10741 who's been nicknamed "Little Miss Nobody" (LMN). While researching LMN , a little girl named Sharon Lee Gallegos who was kidnapped at 2:55pm on July 21, 1960 from 512 Virginia Ave, Alamogordo, NM. was mentioned in a few articles. The last article about LMN that Sharon is mentioned in is about their foot prints being sent to the FBI. It's said they do not think Sharon is 10741 but I'm not sure if she was ruled out. August 5, 1960 Prescott Evening Courier Footprints Might Lead To Body ID

Sharon is not in any database so I entered her, she's NamUs MP #35250, but I wanted to make sure I touched base with you. I'm including Dustin on this email since UP 10741 is his case. I wanted to make sure I had every article I could find for history since she's not listed. They have all been screen shotted and typed out as well, to make it easier to compose the circumstances. I also included the article links so it's easier for you to confirm where they came from. The articles are listed in order in this email.

To date, Sharon has not been found. I have a lot of information but am missing height and weight. We've found 2 articles for the 5 year anniversary (included below). I also found that someone named Rhonda started a FB page for Sharon called Where is Sharon Lynn Gallegos? (Her middle name is wrong) but they pulled it offline. Here is the google cache.

Hopefully LE can get in contact with Sharon's sister who still lives in Alamogordo.

Sharon Gallegos was kidnapped Thursday, July 21, 1960 in an alley to the rear of her home at 512 Virginia Avenue on Alamogordo's south side at 2:55 p.m. by a man and a woman.

Sharon who would have been 5 on September 5th, was described as having light brown, blondish hair, a light complexion and brown eyes, and was wearing pink shorts and white shoes when she was dragged into a " dirty, old green car" believed to be a dark green 1951 or 1952 Dodge or Plymouth.

At the time of the abduction an Anglo man, described as fair and thin, drove the car which sped South and West onto Fifth Street after Sharon was kidnapped. The woman was described as a short, heavy-set, woman in her 30's with dirty blond hair. The couple had been stalking Sharon for the last week. After church the previous Sunday they were seen with two youngsters in their car, a small girl and a freckle-faced boy. The woman asked about Sharon's mother, saying she wanted to offer her a job.

The car stopped, the woman asked Sharon to come with her and she'd buy her clothes and candy. When Sharon refused, the woman grabbed her arm and dragged her into the car.

Birth date - September 6, 1955
Light brown hair
Fair complexion
Brown eyes
Sharon was wearing pink shorts and white shoes
Scars/ Marks - Birth mark on one hip
Mrs. Lupe Gallegos, had nick-named Sharon "La Huera" because of her blondish hair and fair complexion.
