Remember.....look at what she says and what she doesn't say!

OK, I have to admit... I haven't watched ANY of the videos. I thought Tara looked so guilty after watching her that I thought I shouldn't watch Diena (I still think Tara lied about a lot of things). In Tori's case, I immediately thought Tara was involved. In this case, I've thought RSO all along (or SP).

Tonight is my Tuesday night home alone, and I will go back and watch the videos. Then I'll post my thoughts on DT.

edit: Do we have an archive of all the video links for Somer?

edit again: Found Snuf's link above to Cranky's archives... thanx.

I thought I read it was the older brother. I wondered at the time why he waited at the park and why he did not go home to be with the other children. Was waiting at the park for his mother his normal routine or was it just that day? tia

During this video interview, 'Diena Thompson talks about grief, anger, determination' @ 1:52 or so DT says "My son was already down there looking....."

Also pay attention to her expression @ 2:12 or os .....right before the video goes black. It almost seems like she was puzzled? by what she saw at the park.

Remember.....look at what she says and what she doesn't say!
What she didn't say was how the other children are dealing with this. She just focused on this one son.

I need to watch this again, with a fresh point of view.

ok first of all you have to be logged in, then at the top just under the location that has your welcome tarabull message in the gray area on the top right choose quick links, in that u see user control panel, click that when u are in there look on the left part of the page scroll if needed and see the spot that says send new message and click that. hope that helps....

i think 50 posts is the magic number

I was thinking the exact same thing!

I know lots of 13 yr. olds who could do this. Some kids are big and strong - with lots of adrenaline.

I tend to think she was in a more regular receptacle though - not a dumpster.

Are there may waste receptacles at the park I wonder?

Why would a perp put her in trash at a residence - knowing it could be found out.

More likely put in bin at public place - like park.

How does park trash pick up work I wonder?

I know in my little town - the park trash cans can become full quickly if the park is in use. We have scouting events there - and all I know is we just use the trash cans and leave them full when we leave. The city says that's what we should do - but I don't know what happens to it. Like does a park employee drag all the cans to a certain area then dump them to be picked up later? Or does the trash truck just get them all?

I apologize if these were posted already. I've been under the weather since Saturday & am behind pages & pages!

About 75 people waited outside Jacksonville Memory Gardens cemetery for Somer Thompson's funeral procession to arrive, which it did around 12:30.

Just before 12:20, police started blocking off the streets around Wells and Blanding, and Kingsley and Blanding so that they could only be accessed by the funeral procession.

Near the cemetery, people lined both sides of Blanding, holding purple balloons to show their support. Workers at the cemetery stopped each vehicle entering the property to preserve the privacy of the Thompson family.

More than 1,000 people attended the hour-long ceremony in Orange Park.

Purple flowers adorned Somer Thompson's wooden casket and filled the floral displays around First Baptist Church of Orange Park. Her family wore purple ribbons on their clothing.

Somer's parents, Diena and Samuel Thompson, who are estranged, sat across the aisle from each other during the funeral.

The pastor said Somer loved to dance, play dress up, draw and color.

"She had a creative mind and was very imaginative," he said. "She loved people and she loved animals."

:rose: Rest In Peace Somer! :rose:

seeing all this just breaks my heart knowing a innocent life was laid to rest way to soon in her young life. I just feel like crying

She says, " I failed her" "I didn't teach her", "I should have left work." Lots of guilt there. As we would all feel. The other day, someone said how horrible it must be for AB's family in the Elizabeth Olten case. How guilty would you feel if you knew one kids had a problem that cost another child their life?
I'm almost positive this is where the answers lay. We have to stretch to make the things the family says to make sense. How could a kid vanish on a busy street with all those people around? They really can't. So you have to throw the whole police report out and go with what the known facts are. The other kids know what happened. There was really no place for her to have disappeared. We looked at the maps, and it didn't make sense.

Does your analysis leave room for this when you hear DT's speaking? Could it not be possible that this is her natural way of speaking?

TIA[/QUOTE]

You are correct...I am not familiar with her normal speech patterns. But, I am listening to WHAT she is saying, and not saying.

Speaking of OPAA... why in this interview when the mom starts talking about
picking up her son and going to OPAA does this interview go black?
It seems like they purposely blacked out this part?
Video is titled: “Diena Thompson talks about grief, anger and determination”

http://www.news4jax.com/video/21402291/index.html

Yep, that's odd. There has to be a reason that was blacked out IMO.

Ok....I have tried not to comment at all, as I have missed so much of what has been going on in this case, but here is MOO.....

What the mother is saying in that video that everyone seems to be analyzing is "IF it could be my kid, it could be anybody's"---I heard it on one of stations who had the original airing of that particular video and I am personally POSITIVE that is what she said. IIRC, even the news commentator repeated that she was right, it could happen to anyone's child.

Next opinion: the older brother was IN SCHOOL for more than an hour after she was KNOWN to be missing. He then had a 10 minute or more walk from the other direction. He could have been at a school sports practice in the park, OR he could have gotten home and then he was SENT to the park to look for his sister. I find it hard to understand how he could be accused of being responsible when he was at school long after she went missing. I also heard DT say in more than one interview that he lived at the house, she referred to the twins, her older son and daughter and her BF as the occupants of the home. If the 13yo was at a school right near the neighborhood, it would seem logical that he LIVED in the house on a regular basis.

I also am of the opinion that the idea of blaming a seven year old boy for harming his sister and then hoisting a 65 pound limp body into a trash can or dumpster is, well, quite unbelievable on any level!

done now, and jmoo

BSU thanks for returning and for making me wake up. lol. I appreciate it. You were so right. I have to go now. Hope to be back later.
Oh and can one of you post the map that includes Floyd Circle? Then I think we can probably agree that the probable pick up site wasn't the OPAA on Gano but possibly on FC.

Okay- If DT went to pick up AC at the OPAA fields, then he was at the last place Somer was seen. Did HE SEE anything? Why was he there? Was he known to get in trouble? Its said he doesn't live with the family, where does he live?

This isn't attacking the family. This is putting 2 and 2 together when the police report says AC was picked up in the area where Somer was last seen. We questioned the Vinsons and everyone else who was over there.

I'm checking the Jr. HS athletic schedule- where the teams practice. The Jr. HS has fields and athletic facilities, why wouldn't he be over there??

Yep I sure am. While he was on the loose I was working as a home health nurse, talk about scared. I even saw a patient one night in St. Francisville, while he was still on the loose. If I had any clue! LOL, all stores were out of Mace spray, so I carried a can of AquaNet Hair Spray with me, since I know I would debilitate someone if sprayed in the eyes, and given the chance I would have turned it into a blowtorch with a lighter, LOL

Well, I know. I'm from the small town he stalked, looked in windows, cut up a young couple in the cemetary. So, I get ya. He had us all scared.
I tried to read the book because I knew so many people that were mentioned in it including a police officer from here, but I just couldn't do it. It was very hard.

Yes, SP, the Indigo who removed his photo from his website for some unknown reason. Sure would know why he did that.

If i were SP i would certainly have taken my pic off that website immediately. I think there was a reason he was at the Thompson residence that afternoon and i dont think he is a suspect.

BSU... I want to thank you for coming back to join us in this discussion, and I would like to thank you for your honesty regarding not having 'inside information'. This honesty has raised your credibility, in my eyes.

I do believe that you have training in the observational analysis areas of which you speak, and hope I can learn from you.

When it comes to missing and/ or murdered children and adults, I feel any help and differing viewpoints are appreciated, when we all work together towards the common goal of bringing justice to these victims, and removing these predators from our streets.

Welcome to Websleuths!

Thank you!

If i were SP i would certainly have taken my pic off that website immediately. I think there was a reason he was at the Thompson residence that afternoon and i dont think he is a suspect.

I am following what you are saying. It would THEN make sense why he changed his website adding in treatment of adults. Before it only said children.

If i were SP i would certainly have taken my pic off that website immediately. I think there was a reason he was at the Thompson residence that afternoon and i dont think he is a suspect.

Why would you take your pic off of your website? If no one knew who he was, why would it matter? My question would be: what did he have to lose by leaving his picture on his website?

Also, picking up AC doesn't make sense. He's twice as old as the babies - if they can walk home from school, why can't he? I bet he usually walks home from school afterwards.

At the time, the older sister and presumably Somer's twin were out searching for Somer. Why would DT decide to go give AC a ride home instead of coming directly home to search and/or interrogate the little ones about WHAT EXACTLY HAPPENED. (???)

Now it not making sense.
