Judge rejects Van der Sloot's unlawful detention motion

Lima, Peru -- A superior court judge in Lima, Peru, upheld the confession and incarceration of Joran van der Sloot in connection with the killing of Stefany Flores, officials said.

On Friday, Judge Wilder Casique Alvizuri declared as "unfounded" van der Sloot's habeas corpus claim that his constitutional rights were violated at the time of the confession because he was represented by a state-appointed attorney. Van der Sloot also claimed that his laptop had been improperly searched.

I found this post from Kamille on June 16, saying that Erick Cabrero was in the casino on May 30. This link contains his picture...looks like he could be the striped green shirt guy....they both have long sideburns and are kind of stocky.

I'm certain he must have been interrogated by now..Perhaps his statement hasn't been released because it contains some key information...IMO

Well I hope so!!!! Even though I think it would be nice to offer him a place to sleep under the stars.....ON THE STREETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO PASSPORT/POLICE PROTECTION..... let the vigilante justice begin... oh well on my thinking... its just MO :twocents: why on earth should he be scared??? How does he think when Stephany looked/was up at his mug? ..

Whether PVDS was ever a judge or not has been batted back and forth for five years. What's important to me is that many of his cronies (including those in official capacities) repeatedly referred to him outright as a judge. Even AVS in her latest interview claimed he was a judge.

It's clear that his profession of lawyer and his many friendships and relationships with those directly involved in the investigation were instrumental in preventing justice from being served with regards to Natalee's 'disappearance' and insured his son was not held accountable. IMO

Yes, exactly. At the time of the hearings I found a complete listing of judges from Holland that referenced the other judges, the one from Curacao, etc, but Paulus was not on it.

Fwiw - I don't know if it was mentioned here before but apparently - as well as claiming that he didn't know what he was signing joran also claimed that his laptop was improperly searched.

In an official press release, the judge said that the suspect had a translator made available to him during the three depositions he gave the police and that his laptop was sealed once delivered to the court.

You have to wonder what that kind of interaction would do to someone's game.
On the poker boards the players who were still winning after June 2 never mentioned a thing. But the other players start voicing their concern. And on these blogs they are anon to each other unless they meet. Many posts asking players if they know who own such and such screen name. I imagine the poker players talked about it at the casino afterward but only Elton Garcia ( as far as I know) has a police statement.

Interesting, I've read that it can lighten your hair overnight and if someone has naturally dark hair turn it an orange colour.

Any way you can check and see if that's true? I haven't been able to dig up much else on it yet.

One summer my son decided he wanted blonde hair instead of dark bown. He put perioxide on it and it turned it a redish brown. Not the color he was wanting.
