"Defense attorneys Jose Baez and J. Cheney Mason are interviewed in the hour. But they were not involved in the focus group, although they know the outcome, CBS News said. Details about the focus group will be revealed on the show at 10 p.m. Saturday on WKMG-Channel 6."

Bold mine.

Well, there's a bald-faced lie! It's their own jury consultant who is involved in the focus group...does CBS think we are all dumba$$e$ here? It's all semantics. :banghead::banghead::banghead:

48 Hours...the "go to" show for the DT.

One of Kenney Baden’s most memorable moments in the case came during a “48 Hours Mystery” interview a year ago on CBS.

A stranger killed the toddler, Anthony’s defense team said in an interview with Maggie Rodriguez. “Somebody else is the killer of this child,” Kenney Baden said.

Thank goodness for RH, this is his investigation of this 'chicanery'.
http://blog.richardhornsby.com/

It is so unbelievable if what Mr Hornsby wrote is correct about this Richard Gabriel's involvement. Bravo to Mr. Hornsby for his great sleuthing!!

I would assume that by now HHJP, the SA's office, the JAC and the Bar have all been made aware of this info?? Have I left anyone out?

So is this Richard Gabriel the same guy who is in the trailer for the tv show? The speculation is that he is the moderator leading the 'focus group'.

Any opinions?

Linda Kenney-Baden better watch out. Doesn't she know yet that everyone who has contact in this case gets "body slammed", as Tim M. stated? If I was her, I'd be coming up with an alibi for hubby M. Baden.....or if I was Kobie too! Seems like anyone not directly on the defense team is fair game.

Just kidding, folks...but I am so angry about this defense team and all their shenanigans that I just can't help myself. How will I ever make it through the trial without having a stroke due to high blood pressure. :maddening::maddening::maddening:

I can't seem to find the Questions Thread so I am asking here since by the previews this mock jury votes to acquit of 1st Degree.

I can remember we discussed but can't remember the answer. Is the State is going for all (1st Degree) or nothing or can the jury convict of a lesser charge like 2nd Degree?

Pardon me, but any sleuthing that was done started right here on WS.

Though he did write a good summary and raise some good legal questions.

Sorry I guess I just didn't see the Gabriel discussion here so I thought he was the one that found the connection.

Focus Group Acquits Anthony.....
....Barbara Eden had special powers
....McGyver could build a bomb with electrical tape
....Kit & the General Lee could jump the Snake River
....ALF ate cats
...Jennifer Love Hewitt sees dead people
...Selena Gomez and Melissa Joan Hart know spells that work
....Dexter can get away with lots of murders

Isn't TV fun? (Except, apparently, in the 90's :waitasec:)

I thought that Judge Perry said no to the state paying for someone to help with the jury selection. Or did I dream that? Didn't Judge Perry say that the defense had Mason who was well qualified to be the "specialist" for that? If so then how is this guy getting paid by the defense? Or did he simply decide to help out with an understanding that the defense would give interviews for shows like this one to help bring in the dough. I'm confused.

After perusing Mr. Hornsby's blog:

http://blog.richardhornsby.com/2011/04/what-are-the-odds/comment-page-1/#comments

Mr. Hornsby is asking the following:

1) Is there a waiver of privilege IF Mr. Gabriel was involved in the CBS 48 hours show?

and

2) How is he being paid?

Here are pictures I was able to capture.

The first is from Mr. Gabriel's own website at http://www.decisionanalysisinc.com/...abriel&catid=39:consultant-profiles&Itemid=55

The second is of the unnamed man seen in the 48 hours teaser:

Well she has already spent more time in jail than most who have been convicted of murder. At some point like it or not she will be let go and giving a big high-five to her brother. She will have a big smile on her face while racking in tons of money telling us all how she is the victim. Her daughter will be a distant memory while she is totally 100% self-absorbed.
According to Answers.com the average person spends 10 years in prison for murder. However, this case has aggrivating factors, which call for far more serious penelties, including death. The odds of ICA walking out and high-fiving her bro are poor, and I'd rather think her odds of waving good by to her bro through the glass of the death chamber were siginficantly higher. No, I don't agree with your assessment, and think her prospects of either making a ton of money, or smiling her way out of prison are very, very poor.

That's what he said. JAC wouldn't be paying for him. RH poses the question exactly WHO is paying him, since JB blew through $250K and ICA is indigent, that leaves CBS.....

Kathi Belich and Bill Sheaffer. Consider it done.....:innocent:

Of course these people stood up to acquit.

They were only shown what the defense wanted them to be shown.

They do not bare the weight of responsibility of deciding if a person lives LWOP or dies.

They do not bare the weight of a murdered two year old, and making sure she receives justice.

They acquited..........pffffftt!!!

moo

I would think this whole thing, if it is as according to RH, boarders on jury tampering. Even though a jury has not been selected yet, this will likely have an impact.

ITA! This mock trial is one sided, so how in the heck can a person make an "educated" decision when only one side is presented?

If this gives ICA a sense of security, false sense, IMO....than the disappointment at the "real" trial would be fascinating to see...her contempt will then show for her knight in shining armor....Jose, you promised me an acquittal or a mistrial, what the heck happened????

This to me can certainly hold a deadly outcome for the one who sits accused of the premediated murder of an innocent child...I might just watch to see what the 'defense' might present as their trial begins but I'm thinking we have already seen what the defense expects to present...which I have never heard them remark on this alleged nanny who is certainly non existant...I think the defense would have had a better chance if they presented ICA with multiple personality disorder...at least then the defense can say, Zani the nanny was one personality, and it was this personality who harmed Caylee...even as they are one in the same...from the documents we have seen/read where CA claims Caylee was OUR child, she belonged to all of us, is where this all started to go wrong. It appears CA never allowed ICA to be THE parent to Caylee...they all were...how she minimized the fact that ICA was the mother, I believe this is where confusion began and murder ended that confusion...JMHO

Justice for Caylee

I've always been able to "win" arguments when only my side and my interpretation has been presented. :innocent:

This video has him and Vinnie says he is pro-bono on KC case.
