CA - Rebecca Zahau Nalepa - suicide or murder? #10

I didn't know you were there at the time of the accident. That imho is the only way you would KNOW Rebecca was lying, or have the right to make that statement.

Thank you for that Sunnie! I was going to bed but now I feel compelled to stay up!

I'm afraid the circumstances of Max's and Rebecca's deaths are escalating into a War of the Roses between the bereaved families.

I don't like all the pointing of fingers.

I understand that Rebecca's family is hurting. But I must say that it is not an excuse to try to make it seem that Max preferred RZ over his own mother. If RZ's sister truly said that, and if that sort of commentary continues, I will lose respect for RZ's sister.

Furthermore, I dislike DS's claims that Max was smothered (insinuating that RZ murdered him).

A War of the Roses will not guide anyone to the truth.

Very onesided war so far. The huge difference is that DS has not turned to the media in order to make any accusations even though she could legally do so. One can hurl anything at all at a deceased person and not be sued.

Of course it is terribly cruel for RN's sister to be discussing Max at all or even his mother. I think radaronline allowed the sister to do it because they want to provoke a reaction. They don't care how cruel it is.

One only has to read the autopsy report to know that the version of events LE said RN told them do not match the boy's fatal injuries. Plus, some of the specific details RN added such as his being in the kitchen and saying "ocean" is the type of detail a liar would add in order to cover up what happened. If she lied to the cops, no surprise she lied to her sister.

My computer has been on life support and I missed a lot in the process!
Could you get me up to speed about what RN said? I never heard about it.
Thanks!

The baseball fan recently feel onto his head from 20 feet trying to catch a ball. He was talking at first. He later died. It's called a "lucid interval." So I fail to see why exactly a child couldn't have said a word, if a guy who fell 20 feet onto his head could talk in sentences.

RN told LE that the boy was 'unresponsive' and she thought he might have been on his stomach but she did not remember if she rolled him over or not. It took the EMT's 25 minutes to restart his heart.

The report said his spinal cord injury was severe enough to prevent him from breathing. That injury happened when he landed face first on the floor after crashing into the chandelier. I just find it very hard to believe that he was lucid enough to say the dog's name after the minute or two it would have taken RN to run from the bathroom to his body.

I had to step away as well. But I did want you to know that I have enjoyed reading your well thought out and logical posts. I know you must feel like the lone ranger out there, but I've been scared off properly. My feelings get hurt rather easily - Please don't get as discouraged as me. Youre not alone in your opinions.

Please don't get discouraged! Feel free to post your thoughts & opinions... we are ALL entitled to them and should ALL be free to share them without all the snide little remarks and comments because we don't agree with each other. I've had my share of them thrown my way and I decided I could care less if I'm agreed with or not. I choose to ignore the blatant put-downs and rise above it by not getting into a tit-for-tat. It's childish really, and that's not how I play.

I expressed my opinion after reading the AR and comparing it to the illustration of Max's accident. A poster on this forum who is an insider has also said DS believes her son was smothered. That would be a crime.

this is from RN's sister: [radaronline}

"Becky was extremely close with Max. They loved each other very, very much. Dina was jealous of that relationship between her son, and Becky,” Mary Zahau tells RadarOnline.com exclusively. “Max would spend so much time with Becky and then go home and tell Dina how much he loved Becky. If there was a school function or Max had a soccer game, Dina would sometimes demand that Becky not be there,"

ITA. I can't ignore the comments posted here that his mother believes he was smothered first. That's murder and my heart goes out to her.

Katy thank you for caring enough to share that with us!! I can totally understand why you feel the way you do. I don't honestly think that Rebecca was negligent, but she may not have been as attentive as some people are either.

I think she truly loved Max and I think Js knew that and that is why he was willing to leave him in Rebecca's care.

JS I think, really loves his children. In the family picture of his sons Bar Mitzvah, he looks very proud and happy.

I think he is a much better parent than he is a life partner. ;-)

And Katy, I am sorry for what you had to tolerate with your step mother. Some people are heartless and cruel and can't see their nose to spite their face.

See, that is where you and I differ.

You assume she DID love Maxie, and I do not. She may well have, but I do not know for sure if she did, or if she just wanted to marry his father.

But Mr. Stone was still conscious for quite awhile after his fall and before he died at the hospital... Max was reported to be found unconscious and without a heartbeat when he was found by Rebecca. You can't talk if your unconscious.

Thanks, katy. What is this about RN saying she heard the word "ocean"?

I have the same feelings based on my experience with my wicked step-mother. She honestly has not ever loved me or my sister and I know that for a fact and she's still around 25 years later. Doesn't make for a nice relationship with my dad either.

I stand by Dina 99 percent and completely feel for her. IMO her ex-husband is a scary man.

And besides all of that, after such a horrid accident, would a 6 yr old bother to say the dog's name? Wouldn't he say OW or help me or MOMMY!!!! But 'Ocean' ? Why would he bother to explain that the dog knocked him over with his last dying breath? I just don't buy it.

Too convenient that RN had the boy giving us the 'clue' to his violent accident with his last breath. And that both she and her sister were safely tucked away in the bathrooms when Ocean knocked him over the balcony.

like I said previously, we have a two story home and a big dog, and I never ever saw the dog get close to knocking one of the kids over the TOP of the railing. If anything she was always trying to herd them and to protect them. It just seems phony, like the story of him saying 'ocean'. Sorry.

I know who the poster is. Have you asked her what she thinks? It might be enlightening to you.

Bye the way. You keep saying that the LE officials got it right. That Rebecca committed suicide. How could they get Max's death wrong? There are ways to tell if someone was smothered. How did the ME and the ems personnel and the doctors ALL miss that?!

And please, enlighten me which injuries should NOT have been present on Max, after propelling off a landing, hitting/landing on/or pulling down a chandelier that he fell on or fell on him. Oh yes and after hitting his back on the opposite bannister and his head on a carpeted cement floor.

And, are you also a medical examiner?

This is seemingly a screen cap taken from the morning RZN died. Her form is visible on the ground, but the rope is not hanging from the balcony, nor is the door open.

Here is the description from Detective Tsuida, who arrived at 714PM with the Medical Examiner, Dr Lucas:

On 7/13/11, at 1914 hours, I arrived....Dr Lucas and I were escorted to the back of the residence...I noted a naked female body....A rope was hanging from the second story balcony.

So where was the rope when the helicopters were doing their flyovers earlier in the day? Why would the rope be removed, then replaced? They had no qualms about leaving the victim out where she could be seen.

People trip over dogs and get injured day in and day out. Some repeatedly.

I remember all of us looking at these photos trying to figure out if there were a rope. Clearly when helicopter flew over there is no rope. Does anyone know what that was?

That would have been easily detected and documented in the autopsy, wouldn't it?
