DM bought the Silver Kia, which is heavily connected to his alleged attacks, in 2012. There were five separate incidents in a 3 month period during late 2012 that involved potential stalking and abduction with that vehicle. Has there been any mention of what he was driving in 2011?

On my first reading I sort of assumed he had grabbed clothes from home with the intention of running away, but now I'm wondering if the clothes weren't even his and he was trying to get rid of them.

Just to clean this up, the seized Kia was a 2012 model. Hopefully, since he may not have been the registered owner, the car he regularly drove in 2011 can be ascertained from interviews/insurance listings/his speeding citation in 2009.

Here's an image to one of Messel's earlier mugshots (I believe dated between '96 and '99, but could be from earlier). It jumped out a bit since his appearance seemed quite different at first glance.
