Steve Powell claims credible investigators say Susan Powell left on her own accord

I noticed the Trib just recently re-designed their website. That probably trashed a lot of URLs that once worked.

Identified! UT - Salt Lake City, Body in Red Butte Creek, Jun'10 - Douglas Nelson

Technically, at this point, Susan is homeless. Just saying...

Hmm, Ralph Powell will be making that determination?

    UT - Susan Powell, 28, West Valley City, 6 Dec 2009 #7

My thoughts are 1) there are people who wouldn't mind a little extra adventure/intrigue added to their outdoor adventure, 2) for families with kids, if they happened to come across the body at least it wouldn't be so unexpected - they would know who to call, what to do if they saw a notice about...

Willard Bay story has been updated to positively confirm it was a man who had gone kayaking there about a month ago. What both these stories tell us, is spring is finally here, hinterlands are thawing, and hikers and outdoors-people are getting out and about... maybe there's a better chance...

UT - Stetson Hallam for attempting kidnapping, Provo, 2010

I'm not a lawyer, so I too wonder by what/if any mechanism that information (if true, of course) could be introduced to the process - it certainly seems relevant as far as how the alleged perp should be sentenced if convicted (forms a pattern of behavior not a misunderstood prank). I wonder...

UT - Stetson Hallam for attempting kidnapping, Provo, 2010

The arraignment was Friday. Apparently no change in bail, so he's still a free man. Separately he was dismissed from BYU and banned from campus. http://www.heraldextra.com/news/local/article_0e972a84-fb31-5774-aea1-0cea62b557ba.html

Questions you'd like Susan's friends and family members to answer

Thanks so much for answering some of these questions, its so much better than guesses or speculation. I appreciate your candor and understand about not answering them all. Regarding one big boy toy: it was reported that some of the equipment that was moved out of Powell household included...

Still a bit stunning that they knew enough to know he was not "worthy" to go on a mission, but they could trust him to do that home teaching, albeit, its supposed to be done in pairs.

I was able to find corroboration that the listed bride-to-be had once been engaged and is still single, no longer engaged, so that was not a prank.

Hypothetically, if a prospective renter came to me and didn't have an employer I would ask him to name someone who could be a financial reference or backup rent payer. Perhaps that is what he parents agreed to.

Yes, but many of them are "street smart" and someone might have been looking for a clean-cut guy. How trusting of strangers was Steven?

UT - Stetson Hallam for attempting kidnapping, Provo, 2010

I think such things are intended for storing tools. Construction workers and tradesmen carry expensive tools in their pickup truck bed or leave them overnight on a job site that hundreds of other workers might have access to. Not sure if Sears sells them, but where construction workers get...

    Nothing new found April 10

Now they need a more targeted search on mines, maybe south of the Pony Express Trail, or in the mountain canyons east of I-15, in my opinion. http://www.sltrib.com/news/ci_14859885

So you think this is the same Stetson? http://registry.weddingchannel.com/coupledir/20097/H/R310267605/STETSON_HALLAM_AND_STEPHANIE_SHEELY.htm Stephanie Sheely appears to be a student at BYU.

Friends & Family of Susan Cox Powell offer public an alternative to ground search

True, one minute is actually a very long time for something to fall. I supect they didn't actual count 60 secs, but it was more than a few seconds. One thing missing from your calculation is something called the "terminal fall speed". An object will accelerate until the gravitational force...
