Cummings needs to speak up and she needs to move the paper bag AWAY from the microphone.

All this show 'n tell.

When NOTHING has been found.

Yeah I do understand they have to show they were testing all the things they thought might have had blood or DNA or something.

But seriously? Do they have to drone on and on when the results are 'nothing was found?'

I guess only to show that they did test so that the defense couldn't say it could have been this or could have been that, but they didn't test it.

But if they didn't... wouldn't the defense be hollaring about that?

Also, whoever killed Nancy went to alot of trouble to make it look like she was sexually assault. The state has to PROVE no such thing happened. Over and over, each piece of evidence.

I think the prosecution is doing a fine job of laying down the foundation that Nancy was ambushed, didn't have much of a chance to struggle, and was quickly rendered unconscious, strangled/asphyxiated. And possibly the only one who shed a little blood was BRAD. We'll see.

I sure hope you are right. Usually I'm the patient, optimistic one, but even I'm losing faith right now. I think Brad killed her, no doubt in my mind as to motive, means and opportunity, most especially MOTIVE. Even my husband, every time he sees photo or video of Brad, refers to him as evil and guilty as sin. :banghead:

I know. I understand. Believe me, I understand. I'm not a patient person, but I do understand why they have to carefully plod through all the evidence they seized.

But today's testimony? Might be considered the worst episode of CSI ever!

And here's the dress.

No blood. But there WAS a stain?

You are right. At some point they are going to have to do *something* to connect something, anything with Brad in order to find him guilty. If they continue to introduce all of this evidence with nothing found and no real substance, then it's just been a huge waste of time. As somebody else just stated, I feel for Nancy's parents as they sit there and hear the same 'nothing' that we're hearing.

I have watched alot of trials and i dont think ive ever seen one like this!

I guess I'm sitting on the positive bench by myself, lol. I see the prosecution as being methodical and thorough.

I believe there was testimony, possibly yesterday, that a small piece of black trash/lawn type bag was found on the garage floor. I'm assuming that was from what Brad used to wrap the body in. I don't think he would have put her in the truck naked like that. I assume she was wrapped in something. JMO

Why? He bought a tarp...so why not use that?

I am feeling like the jury must be getting anxious and antsy right now. Maybe I'm just projecting my feelings onto them. But all this build-up, the DNA specialist, the credentials, the schooling, the BlahBlahBlah...leading to.... nada.

Although we do know there was no sexual assault to N.C.

All week there has been nothing but points which, perhaps to a jury, end up being positives in the defense column.
I wonder if the Dateline folks are still there? I have a feeling they may have given up and left already.

Was the stain added AFTER it was laundered? Apparently it has disappeared.

How do we know that? She testified no semen, but did say there was blood, which could be the result of sexual assault. I'm sure if there was an attacker, he was likely intelligent enough to use a condom.

I agree. And my first thought--right or wrong--went back to the scratches on Brad's legs and neck. Mostly neck.

That might be of value if they actually had evidence of the scratches. Something like maybe a photo? But that would make too much sense for the CPD to take a photo.
