the myspace entry
Casey Anthony 20 yrs old
"no regrets, only lessons learned, I'd rather be hated for who i am, than loved for who i'm not"

After her break up with Jesse???

My mother used to call this "painting the devil on the wall." Little did Casey know that this desire would come true ~ thousandfold.

Her line "I'd rather be hated for who i am, than loved for who i'm not" was actually originally said by Kurt Cobain (according to the Internet, anyhow).

She wouldn't know an original thought if one was looking right at her.

Hope this is a good place for this....IMO, KC thought herself quite the rock star/poet....there's the pics of her playing Guitar Hero on a couch with Caylee next to her...she refered to Caylee as her "little rock star" in one of her letters.

I believe her "Diary of Days" was HER poor and unoriginal attempt at writing a song...simply because of the repeat of the "Everyone lies..." in the entry...like a song repeats...the chorus, so to speak...just IMO.
I've found bits and pieces of her "song" throughout other songs/quotes of diff poets/music/"rockers".

Her tag on her MySpace page "I'd rather..." is a quote from Kurt Cobain.

OR, from TV shows...we've already mentioned the "House" episode named "Everybody Lies, Everybody Dies".

OR movies...Jumper...which we'vw all said...the same one rented the night of Caylee's "assumed" death....came the "great consequence" line.

Many of the other "lines" are from all those pics/sayings she copied and added to her computer....I'm talking about the seemingly hundreds we saw in one of the doc dumps....like the little girl with the teddy hanging...something about Tupac...her "hotness"...you get the idea.

Just my opinion and hours and hours trying to make sense of a senseless attempt at yet another "Casey-ism".

ETA....sorry, I just saw your post, amandab....I was so involved in my babbling, I hadn't looked up to see what you had posted.

This is where I found the Kurt Cobain thingie...didn't go thru all...but I can be pretty sure there's other qoutes she pulled from here for her DRAMMMA (from a text she sent to Amy) filled litle "ditty".

The song ICA listened to over and over per LP while she was out on bail was "the past" by Sevendust

e Past lyrics
(feat. Chris Daughtry)

Beneath the water
that's falling from my eyes
lays a soul I've left behind
the edge of sorrow was reached but now I'm fine
I've filled the hole I had inside

I'll pray it doesn't scream my name
so I light a flame and let it breathe
the air that kills the shame

I'm up
I'm down
like a rollercoaster racing through my life
I've erased the past again

a risky morning
I feel like I'm alive
I can't believe I've made it through this time
the edge of sorrow I lived in for some time
(lived in for some time)
[ From: http://www.elyrics.net/read/s/sevendust-lyrics/the-past-lyrics.html ]
has left the hole I have inside

The burden is I try my hate
was the last thing I ever felt
or thought I could escape

I'm up
I'm down
like a rollercoaster racing through my life
I've erased the past again
[x2]

You let me in then broke me down
the difference is this time around
I will not let you see me try

I'm up
I'm down
like a rollercoaster racing through my life
I've erased the past again
[x2]

Erased the past again now
Erased the past again

Beneath the water
that has fallen from my eyes

BBM~~~ Me thinks this bolded portion (in your quote) is why LP believed Caylee was somehow in a body of water, and Blanchford Park had a lake, which they searched, and Cindy made such a scene!!

I actually think the water Casey was singing about was tears...Anyway, all the songs Casey was OBSESSED with truly demonstrated just what was going on in Casey's mind!!!

Just had to add...I thought it amusing that JB said at one of the hearings that "Diary of Days" was just from a song by Hayden Christiansen...the main character from "Jumper" and didn't really mean anything....perhaps they were collaborating on the song when that "snot nose", Caylee, got in the way???
KC's whole life seemed built on a fantasy....Juliet Lewis...Hayden Christiansen...fantasy world = mitigating circumstances??

Here's the transcript for Jumper...couldn't really get past 30 mins...the "consequence" reference is early on.

I bet if we looked at that "100th episode" of One Tree Hill or American Psycho, there might be some other lines in there that became part of her "artistic" creation.

Poor baby girl...

Adj. 1. plagiaristic - copied and passed off as your own; "used plagiarized data in his thesis"; "a work dotted with plagiarized phrases"
plagiarised, plagiarized
derived - formed or developed from something else; not original; "the belief that classes and organizations are secondary and derived"- John Dewey

She's a plageristic person...she has nothing in her mind that is original, except maybe what happened to Caylee and her demise, well not even that, for it also appears she took that from an episode of One Tree Hill, or so that's been said...it does appear that she picks out things that do reflect her mindset....she is phony, plastic and probably doesn't even know WHO she is herself...JMHO

<respectfully snipped>... probably doesn't even know WHO she is herself...JMHO

I'd imagine with a mother like Cindy, from the time she was a kid, ICA tried to be who Cindy wanted her to be, and it was never good enough, so she just said "Forget it". She doesn't know who she is, because she has never been herself. Cindy wouldn't allow it.
Not that it excuses her in any way, but with CA as your role model...

A few key words/phrases that we've heard before showed up in unallocated file space on the desktop computer. None on the laptop.

"Seize the Day" and "New Beginning" were both music files. There is a song by Good Charlotte "A New Beginning". No idea if ICA was a Good Charlotte fan, but lyrics here:

Seize the Day ( shortened)

Do these go along with her diary entries?

The Good Charlotte "A New Beginning" was released '02 and it is instrumental.

Intermezzo, I am a Good Charlotte fan and the lyrics you posted are for the song Young & The Hopeless, not A New Beginning.

Thanks for the chuckle. :floorlaugh:

Creepy, isn't it? I also reread the report and the 2 songs were the ones I thought. Good Charlotte's "A new Beginning", and "Seize the Day" was from the Avenged Sevenfold CD. (Small print on pg 2 of that report)
Seize the Day was also last accessed July 16, 2008, just after 5am.

Bold mine

:truce: I think chances are, it was another Anthony most probably Lee who accessed this and other of her computer files around 5 am. Per the recent hearings, Yuri Mellich arrived at 3.51am, starts her taped interview at 4.11am in spare room where home computer is located (duration approx 30 mins). After interview is completed ICA and Cindy download her phone records and some pics of Caylee for with Cpl Mellich. She leaves with Cpl Mellich to show him various locations, returns to Hopespring around 6.42am

I can imagine Lee immediately jumping on to the computer as soon as Mellich and ICA left and that had to be close to 5 am imho.

Thanks for the correction Eidetic..

hmmm That title is very fitting for the way Casey was leading her life. IMO

She wouldn't know an original thought if one was looking right at her.

I noticed that too. Movies and music.Pieces of other people's lives she weaves into her own fairy tales, etc.

Also, that one song that Casey played over and over when she was home under house arrest, Tracy L said that Casey and Cindy got into it over that song one evening ~

That they were all sitting on Casey's bed, listening to it, and Cindy made a remark that it reminded her of "her", or, that could be "her song", and Casey FLIPPED out, screaming that it "WAS HER SONG".
Cindy got up and left room crying according to Tracy.

I'm numb with shock, this ugly scene doesn't at all gel with my image of these two lovelies.:floorlaugh:

This is a scene out of a high school drama.

What on earth happened in that house, that these two (both of them grown women) would find it OK to emote in that manner in front of essentially strangers?

Gives a great deal of insight into the CA/KC/Caylee dynamics that were playing out in that house, IMO...

Bold mine.

KC doesn't know who she is...she isn't a "who"...she's a "what."

What KC is, is a Cindy "mini-me." She and Cindy are so emeshed together, and Cindy never let KC grow up and form her own personality and mores...we shouldn't really be surprised. KC was praised in public, and scorned in private...she never knew what to expect from her mother, and so she just shut down and I really think that is how all the lying started.

KC's thoughts were, just tell "mom" what you think she wants to hear and then she'll leave you alone.

Don't get me wrong, I totally think KC is guilty and must pay the price...I just don't think she was the only one who formed who she became...Cindy played a huge part in that!
